I have about 6 Kakuro books, and this one is, by far, my favorite. The easy puzzles aren't TOO easy, for example. Very highly recommended for someone looking for pure Kakuro fun.

I love Sudoku and thought Kakuro would be a similar challenge. Wow! Way hard. I remember thinking the same thing about Sudoku in the beginning, so maybe I will figure out how to figure out Kakuro. Every puzzle is supposed to have a logical solution, no guessing. Several suggestions: enlarge the puzzles so you have room for the extensive notes you need to figure out what goes where. Down load a "cheat sheet" that gives all of the possible combinations for the number sum you want, although this will only help move the solution along a bit. And don't give up. There's got to be more clues for solving these puzzles besides checking every answer (and unfortunately, cheating a bit). I must admit, though, that my adding skills have improved.

The puzzles were great but the difficult puzzles had small print. The pages were larger, so the print could have been larger.

This is a great book. The puzzles are stimulating and enjoyable. A classic from Nikoli and definetly worth buying.
