This brand is enteric coated and VERY useful!,

This review is from: KAL - S.O.D.-3, 3000 mf, 100 tablets (Health and Beauty)
SOD supplements are NOT useless UNLESS they are not enteric coated. Obviously, this last reviewer did not know this.
Pill forms of SOD MUST be enteric coated to be able to pass intact through the stomach acid into the small intestines and then absorbed. This brand is enteric coated. If it wasn't the stomach acid would render it useless. SOD supplements can be incredibly useful. SOD (Superoxide dismutase) revitalizes cells and reduces cell destruction caused by the most dangerous (and common) superoxide free radicals. Most people don't know that these superoxide free radicals instigate the breakdown of synovial fluids in the body's joints. This breakdown causes friction, inflammation and joint pain. I think those interested in gaining and maintaining maximum health should always do their own research first before believing reader's comments like this. I recommend PRESCRIPTION FOR NUTRITIONAL HEALING by Phyllis A. Balch, CNC. Amazon has it. It is the single most comprehensive source of nutritional and natural health information you will ever find.

works great,

Works for me, what more is there to say?
My bottle says: SOD Complex 400 MG "supplying superoxide dismutase 3000 McCord Fridovich Units and with naturally ocurring Glutathione Peroxidase and Catalase" What that's supposed to tell you is that this is an animal source of SOD, comes from liver. Which is why it contains both SOD and GP. Those are the two naturally occuring antioxidants in your body. For those concerned, this has no apparent added carbohydrates like rice flour. And it is enteric coated. You're supposed to take 1 an hour before meals, up to 3x daily, so the bottle says. I switch off between this and GliSODin so I take less than that. They seem to have different effects. Both good. I don't bother with anti-inflamatories or antioxidants of other types anymore.

oral SOD is useless,
By
This review is from: KAL - S.O.D.-3, 3000 mf, 100 tablets (Health and Beauty)
SOD (superoxide dismutase) is a basic antioxidant
enzyme like glutathione. you CANNOT take this orally. it is broken down by your digestive tract immediately. all oral SOD products are useless. SOD is measured by PIU or pyrogallol inhibition units, not "mf". one would have to get a doctor to inject them with pharmaceutical SOD every week to get any benefit, but there is no injectable SOD available. a nasal spray would be another route but this is illegal and unavailable. doctors need to add this to their medical practice. topical SOD products can be fine, but not oral. all this is scientific verifiable fact. 2115|RGZYPEVZRLW59;2115|RN78XFXNQCMD9;2115|R1Z9AO8CN63OBD;
