Purchased product for my 7 and 12 year old for Christmas. Some assembly required. Pretty easy to assemble. It appears to be a quality product with quality welds and construction. I have a couple of Tao Tao 110cc 4 wheelers and are falling apart due to weak welds, insufficient strength on the bolts, and cheap overall construction. Both products made in China but the Kandi Go Cart seems to be a pretty decent product. Kandi Go Cart has a manufacturers warranty which is a plus. Manaufacturer recommends 16 years old and up to operate. Not sure how a 16 year old can fit in go cart. We are also having difficulty starting the vehicle when it is cold. Have send Kandi Website an email, but no response yet (New Year). Currently, having to put a space heater close to it and heat engine block before it fires. Will update.

UPDATE 5/20/2013
Transmission has broke. I had to go through the dealer (not the manufacturer) to request the warranty work done (hassle). Dealer requires that I disassemble engine/tranny from go cart and ship to get it repaired because there is no one to work on it locally. I am not going to disassemble go cart, ship it off, then reassemble go cart and take a chance I may not assemble engine/tranny back on go cart within specs of manufacturer and something else breaks.

Steering has broke also. Again, have to ship off to get repaired. Too much hassle.

Still having problems starting go cart.

AMAZON has refunded our purchase price due to multiple things going wrong with the go cart which was appreciated.

I was hoping to find a good product. :(

I bought this Kart for my Grandsons and they love it! Their ages are twelve (almost thirteen) and eleven. Sitting side by side can be done, but there really isn't enough leg room for that. It's more fun for them to take turns running it through the fields.

The speed is a little fast for my taste, but I'm a grandma. My son can't believe it goes that fast with just a 110 cc motor. He loves it too.

There were some problems with the electrical... maybe. There could be a safety switch somewhere, but my son couldn't find it. So, it didn't start when the key was turned. He put a 'push button' on it to start it with. It runs very well now.

Like all mechanical things, it has some issues that need to be addressed here and there, but all in all, it is good. A person has to expect an off road vehicle to break some thing from time to time. All depends on how a person drives it I guess.

It needs some assembly when it arrives. The tires, roll bars, seat belts, seat, and steering wheel were needed to be put on. All the holes lined up great though.

It's performance was better than expected. Other than the ignition switch issue, everything works well. The suspension is really good, it hit a larger size rock and kept on going. It went up (almost over) when a corner was taken a little fast but it bounced back to the ground. When it flew over a hump, control was lost only because it was airborne for a little bit.

A helmet is a really good idea since a person does get thrown around quite a bit inside the roll cage. But it's a safe ride depending on how you drive it.

The only down side is the drive sprocket. It's a little low to the ground and the guard had to be bent back into place a time or two already.

This go-kart is not for you, unless you are a masochistically inclined mechanic and/or consider British sport cars from the 60s as reliable means of transportation. However, it is for you if you want to show your children that you are not the all-powerful and capable person that they thought you were.
Seriously, this product arrived partly dissembled which wouldn't have been a problem if they had supplied assembly directions or some type of manual. Luckily, I do like British sports car from the 60s so I'm not entirely at a loss when it comes to putting things together. In the end it only took three hours to assemble and set the stage for the ensuing nightmare.
It ran fairly well for one month although it would always take a long to start. After one (1) month the battery died and was replaced by new one attached to a trickle charger.
One month later the starter motor broke and was replaced. However, the go-kart still wouldn't start.
Another new battery was ordered and installed. Still nothing happened.
The damage was done and Daddy was humbled by a children's toy. I now choose to the right thing and ignore the problem for a few months which didn't help either. After a few months, I asked my mechanic to take a look. As he couldn't figure out what the problem was I asked two mechanics who are specialized on similar toys and CDI ignition to help me out. They managed to get the engine to turn over (once) but it still wouldn't start. In total, excluding assembly time this go-kart has absorbed close to 50 man-hours.

I bought this for my children for their big Christmas present last year. After an hour on Christmas morning, we FINALLY got it to start and it worked about 30 minutes. It literally has 30 mins ride time on it. I have spent almost a year trying to get the seller to do something about it. I have the defective starter ready to ship to them but they jerked me around until all of a sudden they only have 6 months warranty. AND they tell me I have to contact Amazon to get it fixed!
My children were so disappointed at Christmas and have been all year that they could not ride this POS. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. And Eternal Tools Hardgoods and Furnishings are also a POS company. I am dealing with Amazon right now trying to see what can be done. I will update later.

Christmas is coming.. SANTA, KEEP ON MOVING. GO FAR, FAR AWAY FROM THIS JUNK!!! Your children will be heartbroken and your wallet will be empty!!!
