This handbag is larger than it looks and I was surprised because it says 15"-- which isn't terribly big. One thing that is a bit deceiving is that in the picture it looks like the purse has a rigid shape to it, like it could stand up on its own. It would have to be stuffed full before it would stand up like the picture. Otherwise it is sort of formless. I was a bit disappointed with that aspect. The styling is cute and the hardware very nice; and it does hold plenty. Go for it if that is what you are looking for!

Cons: The drop isn't long enough to carry at the shoulder, but it comes with a detachable shoulder strap. I plan to just carry this one by hand or on my arm.

First of all, I am an avid fan of Kathy bags and have owned four of them total. I've just purchased the heartbeat satchel (in marina blue -- not offered here but such an amazing classy deep turquoise!) and have to say that I couldn't be happier. It may not be real leather, but wow it sure feels like it! It is soft and supple, holds everything I need on a daily basis very comfortably (and I carry a lot of stuff!) but doesn't look too huge. Also, it would be worth mentioning that in addition to the over-arm straps there is a longer, wider shoulder strap -- I'm not sure why it isn't pictured as this seems like an important detail. The hardware is just gorgeous, the picture does not do it justice. I've received so many compliments -- this really makes any outfit look glamorous! 5 out of 5 stars.

Great purse. Fabric is very soft, but strong. It holds everything I need it to and has enough compartments to keep things organized.

This was my 16 year old daughter's favorite Christmas gift. She loves that it has a lot of room for all her things. She loves the style, color, quality, many compartments, interchangeable straps, and the comments she gets from people who see her with it and like it.
