Excellent Keyboard if you Type a lot,
This review is from: KB500USB-WHT Kinesis Advantage USB Contoured Keyboard for Mac & PC, White Case (Personal Computers)
Excellent Keyboard if you have to type a lot! Takes about one month to get used to. You can always switch back to your old keyboard if you want to. Your typing will become more flexible.

This keyboard really helps with my RSI problems. My wrists just don't hurt, as they do when I use a flat keyboard. It does take a little getting used to, but I type enough that I didn't feel this was a big deal.
Unfortunately, I use multiple computers, and it does not deal well with being swapped between computers. Kinesis Tech Support recommended resetting the keyboard by holding down F7 for 15 seconds during power-up, and this works when swapping between my Mac and my PowerBook G4, although it has the unfortunate side effect that key bindings get wiped out every time. However, the keyboard does not work *at all* with my Windows 7 PC. The PC goes "beep beep" when I plug in or unplug the keyboard, so I know it's presence is being detected. However, typing does *nothing* and Kinesis has no drivers for Windows 7. Beware. The Goldtouch Adjustable keyboard also works wonders for my RSI, and costs 1/3 as much as this Kinesis.

I've been using Kinesis keyboards since the late 1990's. I looked into them because of pain in my wrists and arms. When I got the keyboard, the pain went away AND my typing speed went up around 30 wpm. I can now type easily for long periods of time without becoming fatigued.
I also found adjusting was more of a mental thing than a physical thing. One day, not long after getting the keyboard, I answered a phone call. I had to type notes during the call. I was distracted enough to forget I was on a new keyboard, and found I was typing easily by touch! Most of the keys are in the same place (the arrows are a notable exception--it took me longer to get used to using them). That experience taught me I just needed to relax and let my fingers do what came naturally. All in all, a fantastic keyboard. I can't recommend it highly enough. By the way, someone commented about the keyboard not working with Win 7. I use my Kinesis at work on a Win 7 machine and haven't had any problems. I don't remember having to change any settings or update drivers. Kinesis support might be able to help for any issues around Win 7.
