3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed!
I spent over a month researching off-road lights, trying to figure out the best brand and what light to spend money on. I ended up with the slim lights with 130 w bulbs from Amazon, who had the cheapest price on the net. I bought these for my Tundra and picked them particularly for the stone gaurd covers. Fit and finish out of the box seemed great, although they are made...

These are great, the switch looks custom on the Jeep Wrangler (JK) the only thing that i would ask is for an easier reach of the locking nuts (for directing the lights), they are very close to the bracket and you need a thin wrench or socket driver for a tight fit or you will be scratch the bracket.A dent system for directing the lights would be nice on these to avoid the problem that I described.

Ligths are bright and look awosome in the jeep (windshield brackets). Tese long range/ pencil type will give you a slim and long light ray which does not make any glare from the hood like the driving type.

Another thing, since these are mostly used in jeeps they should add some special instructions for them along with the regular ones, you will figure how and where to connect everything but have to give a good think, also dont forget to buy some corrugated tubing (hardware store)to protect the cables from the ligths and into the hood, other way you will have two colorfull cables exposed.

Edit (07/19/10): I just noticed that the KC letters showed in this picture are the small ones, i received the stone guards with the larger letters (which i prefer). If your mounting these on windshield of a Jeep wrangler get the smittybilt brackets, or mopar which are the same style but more expensive. I first got the KC brackets but they will block some of your visual area and wont allow you to lift the windshield wiper for cleaning. Smittybilt and mopar brackets mount the lights down and out away from the windshield.

* 260 Watts of blinding fury! I was going to get the flood beams but I'm glad I got these instead. The beam pattern is tight but at 100 yard in front of the Trailblazer they light up the entire road. I have them wired to come on with my highbeams so there is no switch or wire coming into the car. It took me all of 20 min to wire them up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, April 10, 2011

Purchased in March 2011 for a 2004 Ford Ranger, 4x4, with a Westin brush guard. Very easy to install on the brush guard. Had a friend wire these up in about an hour. A little too much wire in some areas, a little more needed in others, but not a big problem. Definitely would purchase some plastic conduit to contain the wires and protect them, and to make the installation look professional. Easy to mount, and aim vcertically and horizontally. Price beat any other brick and mortar store and any on web site that I could research. Do your homework; some are slim lights and some are not. Some are for long range and some are for lighting up the side of the road. Some for 4x4 ing and off roading and some not. Be careful in reading the description for use and buy for the reason that you need them. Take your time and you will not be disappointed. Satisfied.

I bought these lights because of the price and I was a little skeptical on how the light output would be. Wow was I amazed. The light output is crazy ridiculous. I would recommend these lights to anyone. The instructions were easy to read and install was a breeze. Highly recommend this product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Bright, Look Great, easy to install, December 26, 2009

I've got a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I've built into an off-road toy.
I've installed all 3 lens types (Fog/Driving/Long Range)of these KC lights
on my Jeep so I can see off-road and they are fantastic.

They were easy to install with the provided directions, which be sure to read
and it will make your life much easier.

The switch provided didn't suite what I was trying to do since I was going to have actually
four total sets of lights wired in. I opted out and purchased a set of missle style switches
that had the flip covers on them.

In any case for the money, great product and I get alot of compliments with these lights
especially off road when the other drives ask me to "Turn on the Sun so we can see!"

I have these aimed as an extention of my headlights and fog lights (Stock JK) They work great. The instructions are easy to follow and the parts all seems to be well put together. Great beam pattern, brightness and quality of light.. I will likely by another set

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed!, January 19, 2012

I spent over a month researching off-road lights, trying to figure out the best brand and what light to spend money on. I ended up with the slim lights with 130 w bulbs from Amazon, who had the cheapest price on the net. I bought these for my Tundra and picked them particularly for the stone gaurd covers. Fit and finish out of the box seemed great, although they are made in Korea, NOT ARIZONA, USA....errr.... I do have to give credit to the wiring and instructions. This was first rate and I was impressed. Plenty of wire and already set up for my truck perfectly!

Fist off, the 4 bolts for tightening the lights are horrible. I feel like they will snap if I tighten them any more, and yet, its not tight enough to keep them from moving straight down everytime I hit a bump. Second, the bulbs were turned on for over 15 mins while I installed the switches and they worked fine. The second I drove out of the driveway, the left side burned out almost instantly. Couldn't even get 100 yards down the road! Third, my tundra lights on high, (when the lights were working) literally drowned these lights out! I couldn't tell they were even on! Guess I don't understand all the excellent reviews on these, unless your headlights really stink, then I guess they could help. I'll be calling KC first thing this morning to see how they react. If they make me jump through hoops to get a new bulb, I'll be very upset!

5.0 out of 5 stars KC slimlite set, December 21, 2011

This review is from: KC HiLiTES 121 SlimLite Black 130-Watt Long Range Light System (Misc.)
I purchased these lights for my 2002 Subaru Outback. It took several attempts to fabricate some brackets for the front bumper but it ended up looking really good. The wiring was wicked easy and constructed of quality wires already spliced and set up for quick install. I tapped into my lowbeams so that I could have 6 lights on for off road driving, head lights, fog lights, and the new kc lights. I recomend a quality battery as well, I added an Optima battery to the system to replace the low quality stock battery that came with the car. Just be aware that these lights use a lot of power and are not ment to be left on for extended piriods of time.....I run mine for 20-30 minute increments. My only complaint is that I did not get a 3rd and 4th light for the set up.

These lights ROCK for the price , I realize these days there are LEDs that will probably do better but you will also pay for that, For QUALITY & "price" wise I don't think you can beat these! besides 23year warranty ??? how could you go wrong !! I cant wait for dark now !!! I have a JEEP Wrangler JK installed these on the windshield with KCs mounts ... absolutely no issues !!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND !
