These lights throw out a serious light beam.

We have a lot of deer to watch out for that linger on the medians, as well as plenty of dummies that like to walk at night in dark hooded sweatshirts on the roadside.

Installation was actually fairly easy and everything is included.

Here's my deal. I have Sylvania Silverstars in my 97 Ford Ranger. They work well enough, but I wanted better rain, cornering, and road side lighting. So, I shelled out $50 for the Sylvania Silverstar Ultra's: Absolutely horrible. They were actually dangerous in the rain because the emitted light would look washed out and I felt that it increased the glare. Really strange. So, I began looking into all these other gimmick bulbs (blue, super-white, purple) and even thought of being like the rice-boys and buying an expensive HID system, which would require allot of modification to my existing lights. I didn't want to shell out $500; I didn't want to cut up headlight housings; I didn't want to melt anything; and I wanted the lights that addressed my problems above and that would be durable. These KCs are AWESOME. Side lighting is excellent when taking a corner and the side of the road lighting out 15-25 yards is also excellent. It throws the light much further, but I'm talking about being able to see something non-reflective. For $20 more that the SS Ultra bulbs, I have WAY brighter and just as white light. Plus, these won't burn out in a year like the Ultra's are guaranteed to do. I had a really hard time deciding on these, but am so glad I didn't get sucked into buying the fancy or cutesy lights. I remember KCs from back when I was a kid and assumed they were now old and outdated. Wrong answer. These lights are the best $70 I've spent on that truck. The way the lights are shaped is actually trapezoidal, if looking down at them. So, the outside edges of the bulbs extend past the housing, which is what give the excellent side lighting. If these are aimed properly, you will greatly improve both corner and side lighting.Read more ›

I installed these on my 1996 Toyota 4runner, which has normal halogen headlights.... not HID not Xenon and not projectors... I had a hard time seeing the road and the berms, especially after the plows have scraped off all the lines. These lights really light up the near road and cast a wide beam. Installation was actually fairly easy and everything is included. I mounted mine on the top of my bumper (the bottom would have been my first choice, but there was not enough 'lip' for drilling). These lights work as advertised and are great for my old eyes. Oh, I just hooked them up to a simple switch... working independently of either the high or low beams.

I bought these lights specifically because of the loss of nite-vision that keeps you guessing about what's at the corners of your stock headlights beam. These lights are perfect (if aimed correctly) because they illuminate the dark areas and give back a sense of security that was lost by that damned nuisance called getting older. Highly recommend the product for its appearance of durability(glass lenses), relative ease of installation(lots of wire) and the fact that it all actually works!

These lamps work really well. Improves side vision and area below where the headlamps are focused. I professionally install these KC HiLites on law enforcement rigs.

i purchased these lights sunday, and they arrived (free super saver shipping) wednesday mid afternoon..absolutely awesome. upon opening the box, it felt very full of quality, and with examination, the lights and all harnesses were absolutely great. i have a 2007 ford ranger single cab, and to mount these properly, the bumper (plastic and not sturdy)was a no-go for mounting the lights. too much vibration and would get into other drivers eyes-too much risk. so i took 1/4" bar steel and welded a vertical bar behind the auxilliary light holes, and mounted them to the bar-now theyre darn sturdy, never shake, and are solid..plus it let me spend some father son time with dad and welding!
im not automotively in tune with wiring lights and whatnot, so i had my buddy come over and it was a breeze and fun. i took the truck on a joy ride around the ridges of west virginia, and saw plenty of deer etc. one thing i must note is the amazing way the lights see around corners. we live in hill country so its turns everywhere and you need that ability.
best 80$ i ever spent and i couldnt ask for more.
well..maybe another set.

the only gripe i had,was the white wire connected to the fuse was without a connector-although i had the tools, it mightve been a setback for others.
great product KC, ill order more willingly. and great amazon seller.
check my picture out above (bottom row of lights vs high beam sylvanias above)

I DRIVE OVER THE CASCADES MTNS ON A REGUALAR BASIS AT NITE IN THE SNOW & RAIN. THESE LITES ARE THE BEST I HAVE USED FOR THE PRICE. NOT ONLY CAN YOU SEE DOWN THE ROAD BUT THEY LET YOU SEE WHAT IS STANDIND OFF TO THE SIDE. IF THERE IS A DEER OR ELK STANDIND OFF TO THE SIDE YOU WILL SEE IT. TWO THUMBS UP ON THESE LITES.

I purchased these lights based on the reviews, and I was not disappointed. The quality of the wiring, connectors, relay, and hardware is excellent. Every single wire comes with a weatherproof or covered connector. The cable lengths are more than adequate, about 6 feet for one light and 8 feet for the other. Each light has its own dual wire (positive and negative) runs back to the relay. The wiring to the switch, that controls the relay is also about 8 feet. The switch has a small green LED that illuminates when ON. In order for the switch LED to work you have to connect it to ground (the ground wire which is provided is about 2 feet long with connectors on both ends. The switch can be mounted to the provided bezel, or you can put it through a 3/8" hole, your choice. Each light has about a 6" long pig tail with a very sturdy single connector (different than the picture in the description which shows two separate wires). I much prefer the pigtail connectors I received.
