KD Tools Torque-Rite 1/2 inch Ratchet Drive, Tire Shop Torque Wrench. This tool is specifically for checking wheel lug nuts to exact manufacturer recommended torque value. Use in addition to torque limiters to tighten lugs to precise manufacturer specifications. Helps prevent the warpage of brake rotors caused by over torquing. Steel lock ring with heavy duty lock mechanism and tough tire tread rubber cover on head, lock ring and handle provides cushioning effect reducing operator fatigue and tool damage. Heavy duty chrome finish is stemped with English and metric scales. ratchet head futures a 45 tooth ratchet design requiring only 8 degree of hand travel for indexing. Wrench indicates required torque by feel and by sound and is accurate to plus or minus 3% clockwise in the upper 80% range. Weighs 3 pounds. This 1/2 inch drive torque wrench is a wonder! Easy to use, durable (rubber covered head) and solid. More importantly, very repeatable as to settings, AND, the adjustment rings are METAL, as opposed to polymer that are prone to break. Unless you have a specific need for a "Super expensive" ($500+) wrench, this wrench will MORE than satisfy you and all your needs. No vehicle that uses alloy wheels should ever have them installed without the use of a torque wrench, and this wrench is simply GREAT!
