About the Author

About the Author Arthur Griffith has been programming computers for twenty-five years. He has several years of experience in graphics programming, including X11 and motif. His broad background includes oil and gas monitoring, satellite communications, insurance company databases, real-time controls, and hardware diagnostic systems. He specializes in writing computer language interpreters and compilers and has implemented several special-purpose languages. Among the books he has written are Java Master Reference and COBOL For Dummies. He is also the co-author of Peter Norton's Complete Guide to Linux. ... but still, my first impression is not so good, because some of the examples don't compile under KDE 2.1. This makes them useless. The book provides, on the other hand, very good introduction to Qt/KDE, with focus on basic functionality (no multimedia, etc.).
