Designed for active kids, the Gypsum is rugged and sporty. Available in a range of easy-to-coordinate neutral tones, the Gypsum has a low-profile design with tonal stitching, fun pops of color, and a laidback slip-on style.
Gypsum's mesh-and-leather upper is durable enough to stand up to the rigors the playground. It's also breathable, so growing feet feel comfy, even when things heat up.
To ensure a steady step no matter the season, the Gypsum has an innovative dual-climate rubber outsole. When temperatures drop, this outsole hardens to provide exceptional traction by gripping packed snow and other terrain, helping to prevent slips and falls.
And because this outsole is non-marking, you won't have to worry about black marks on floors at school or home.
For a secure, stay-in-place fit, this shoe has a lace-capture system to keep loose laces from getting in the way.
The Gypsum is easy to care for. The mesh areas can be cleaned with a damp cloth or sponge and regular household soap, while the leather can be periodically treated with leather cleaner or conditioner.
Keen began in 2003 with an inspired sandal design that combined comfort and toe protection. This radical design departure for sandals spawned the overriding Keen philosophy of hybrid innovation--striving to create new possibilities and to discover and implement original ideas.
Keen products put an emphasis on the joys of play. At the same time, Keen believes in the value of working hard to give back to the community. To that end, the company has partnered with non-profit organizations around the world to help get youth into the outdoors, protect land for its environmental and recreational value, and to give bikes to kids in need.
