but this shoes was perfect from the moment I wore it , easy to wear plus easy to remove , comfortable and very light .
I've been wearing Snap On crew socks for quite some time and it made the transition easier.
Fit is spot on, felt a little heavy to me when I removed them from the box.

I have been buying Keen shoes for a few years now and these are my first steel toe from Keen. The goal was a light weight cool shoe and the Atlanta delivered. The sizing is true. The great things I love about these shoes is the neoprene material on the sides and back of the shoe, this keeps the shoe light and cool. The laces I thought I would replace with regular laces, but I have to say... I'm keeping them. It makes it easy to just keep the shoe a little loose and slip them on and off like a slipper. If I have to, I can pull them tight like traditional laces. My pants fit a little long and the pull straps at the heel keep my pants from wrapping around the bottom of my shoe (excellent). Even with the shoe being very light weight, it still seems to be equally distributed along the shoe, so my toe doesn't feel heavy. Thanks Keen for making another fine product.

I work on concrete 40+ hours a week. These shoes have had jet fuel, prist, 100LL, and oil spilt all over them. Prist is notorious for eating through all sorts of materials, but these shoes have so far stood up to all the abuse of working out at the airport. With my last pair of shoes I would have to wear long pants during rain to ensure my socks would not be soaking wet with water. These shoes are fairly water resistant. If you walk through a fairly deep puddle your feet are definitely going to get wet.. However these shoes put your feet a tad higher than most and protect from bigger than average puddles. As with any protective toe shoes (steel or composite) one would expect a wearing in period. I did encounter this for a very short time compared to other boots. I ordered the same size I would have if I was ordering a pair of any of the major brand running shoes..

I strongly recommend these for anyone working out at the airport. They are quite comfortable, look descent, and are very durable.

The lightest and most comfortable work shoes I've ever worn. They look really stylish too. The laces tend to loosen slightly as you walk, but are simple to adjust.

Let's start this off the way I start most of my shoe reviews off. I destroy work shoes. If you think you're hard on work shoes, I'm pretty sure I'm harder. I take these things on concrete, asphalt, dirt, mud, rock, gravel. I get glues and wood treatment on them. I walk miles a day and they're all hard miles, I walk fast and turn quickly, jog up stairs and down. I need good work shoes.

So take everything I say with that in mind.

I love these shoes, they're super comfortable, when I first slipped a pair of Keens on at bootworld I was sold. I wore them to the bitter end, when the sole had a hole in them and the steel toe was wearing through the material on top. The only steel toe work shoe that I've so far found that is as comfortable on my feet is: http://www.amazon.com/New-Balance-MID627-Steel-Toe/dp/B00ASHRJWM/ref=sr_1_1?s=shoes&ie=UTF8&qid=1402274013&sr=1-1&keywords=new+balance+steel+toe

My issue that makes these a 3 star review? The soles. I destroy them. Within a week or two those nifty pads on the bottom start peeling off and wearing down. These shoes lasted me 6 months top, and they should have been retired long before that moment. Now, I expect that from my shoes, I consider 6 months to be fair for what I do to these things, that being said, these shoes cost too much money for that kind of life expectancy. If this product was around the $80 range I would buy a new pair every 5 months and be happy. For $130 I should be getting a comfortable 8-9 months out of these.

I went on and bought a second pair from amazon and got 5 months out of them, once again, I'd be fine with that if they were at a lower price point. I'm currently trying out a pair of nautilus which closely resemble the keens at a $75 price point. All I'm looking for is an $80 shoe which lasts me 5-6 months or a $100+ shoe that I can get closer to a year out of. These are great shoes but they don't fit that criteria for me.

I have a great pair of Timberland Pro steel toe work boots that I purchased on Amazon last fall. I will still wear the Timberlands, but was looking for a low-top work shoe for the summer. I've worn these Keen's for about a month. I love them. They did take a little while to break in. I had a sore spot on the outside of each of my big toes after the first week of wearing them, but my feet adjusted. They're now very comfortable. I love that you can slip them on & off so easily. I've been working in a client's basement & there are times when I have to walk through their finished upstairs & it's easy to slip them off & go through in socks. The strings are a bit long, but I just thread them underneath the laces. I like the quick tightening adjustment, but oftentimes have them adjusted so I don't need to tighten or loosen them, I just slip them on & off. Haven't had the opportunity to "test" the steel toe yet other than kicking some 2x material to align it for framing. They are very comfortable to wear all day long, have breathe-ability because of the mesh, & I love how they look with jeans or shorts.

I agonized over picking a steel toe shoe from all the different reviews. I have to say I am extremely impressed with the look, fit, and quality of this shoe. Been wearing them for about five months and still a big fan. I like the sliding lace holder setup, but eventually the end breaks off. It's still ok, just tie the ends together and you can keep using it. The best part about the slide is that you never have to tie or tighten them again all day long. I removed the show inserts and replaced them with Superfeet Copper DMP insoles. Together they are fantastic, although I think the Superfeet are way overpriced. I highly recommend these shoes. My foot measures exactly 10 1/2 on a shoe scale. I ordered 11's and they are just right. Keen is the best work shoe money can buy. Good thing my company pays for them.
