On the Keen website, this shoe was stated as running a 1/2 size too small, and I found this to be true.
Having said that, the shoe is cute and comfortable enough, but a disappointment in comfort when compared to other Keens I've owned.
They look great - very sleek and classy on the outside. The toe is not half as boxy in person as it appears on the image here. The leather is clean and a little shiny without much detail so they could be paired with lots of outfits, I think. The insole has a nice amount of support and cushion; not the same as a sneaker but it's still pretty comfy. The fit is very true to size - I wear a 10.5 and I bought a 10.5 and the length is just right.
However the shoe is pretty stiff in general - it just doesn't feel flexible as I'm walking at all. The back of the shoe looks padded where it hits the ankle, but it's really not. Or at least, it's not padded enough. It digs into the back and sides of my foot pretty painfully.
I think it could be broken in over time, perhaps, if a person really liked the shoe. Personally, I don't think Keens should need breaking in.
They are cute and well made, just not right for my feet.

I really wanted to like these shoes, but they were extremely tight across the top of my toes. I have an average foot. Read morePublished 28 days ago by Cara

Way too small; can't wear them at all! Unfortunately, I waited too long to return them, so now I'm stuck with them. :(Published 5 months ago by Kristy
These shoes pinched up in the toe box in a way that would not break in. I normally LOVE Keens and they are my "go-to" all day teaching shoe. Read morePublished 5 months ago by Elizabeth Morrison
Very happy with my 4th pair of Keens! They look great, and are very comfortable, right out of the box. The color is a little on the tan side, more so than the picture shows.Published 5 months ago by Beth
