I'm a girl who loves to wear 4-inch platforms. I hate flat shoes. When these shoes were first recommended to me, I scoffed at how low they were. And, to be honest, they aren't the prettiest shoes you'll ever own. But, no joke... once you put them on, you will never want to take them off. I bought them in blue, and I wore them all last summer and well into the fall. If I thought I could get away with wearing them with socks for the winter, I would (and I hate people who wear socks with sandals).

These were great for our vacation last year, which was nothing but walking, walking, walking. Not one blister! They keep your feet cool and dry with no chafing. The rubber front is great for clumsy people like me who trip a lot... no stubbed toes!

I wear them when I take the dog to the river. I can go right in with her. Walking on the slippery rocks is a breeze because of the traction. When you come out, just shake off the excess water, and they dry pretty quickly.

They might seem pricey, but I would gladly pay twice as much as I did for these seriously awesome shoes. The looks have grown on me, too. I get compliments on them everywhere I go. And I tell everyone I can how amazing these shoes are. My husband mocks me that I sound like I work for them or should be their spokesperson. Hey, powers-that-be at Keen, give me more shoes and I'll be your spokesperson!!!

The only negative thing I have found about them is the weird foot tan I had all summer from wearing them so much. But, it's not like I ever had on another pair of shoes for anyone to notice!!

OH another thing... you can throw them in the washing machine!! I've washed them a few times now after trips to the river. They come out looking like the day you bought them.

Pros: durable, breathes well, lightweight, comfortable, washable

Cons: foot tan, you may never want to wear another shoe again

Buy these shoes, you won't regret it!

I own 3 pairs of Keens. They are the Keen Jamestown, Keen Venice H2, and Keen Newport H2. In my opinion, there are no shoes out there that can compare to Keen. This is quality at its best! All three pairs are comfortable and never need a break in period. I'm almost unaware that I'm wearing them! They go from hiking and running to trips to the mall or grocery store. Like I said, treat yourself to a pair, they are fantastic. Make sure you order a half size up as they tend to run a little small. Enjoy!

Love the shoe itself. Comfortable, waterproof, stylish (?) and functional. The issue is that the sizing is not consistent between all of the Keen shoes. I have a different pair of Keens in the same size and those shoes are loose. The Venice H2 pair is snug but not yet to the point of being too small.
Overall, I love the shoes and would recommend them to others with the caveat that one must think about sizing up a bit.

I love KEEN shoes and have many pairs. I've never had any problems with any of them, until I bought through Amazon. I have only worn the pair approximately 6 times and the sole has completely seperated from the shoe. See attached picture. Obviously defective. Shoes.com and Amazon won't do anything about it and I am out almost $90. BEWARE of buying from these companies as they won't do ANYTHING to correct the situation.

Thank you for replacing my first pair of Vensie H2. Unfortunately the
second pair also turns my toes black. The fabric lining to toe cup is
NOT colorfast. Everytime I wear them they turn my toes black and the black does NOT wash off in the shower. This is a major problem. Carol Wissolik

I bought a pair of grape women's Venice H2 Keens. I have been wearing Keens for over 15 years. The pair of shoes that arrived came in a Keen box. However they were stiff to put on, the bed of the shoe was hard, and not formed well to my foot, the rubber toe and sole was off color - not the typical Keen toe color as shown in the photo. My feet actually hurt in this sandal. These were imitation Keens, not the real deal though priced as if the real deal. I ended up ordering the same shoe from a different website, and when this pair arrived....they looked, and fit like the Keens I wear and love. Amazon was great about refunding my order with no problem. However I wanted to let other people know to be aware that the product ordered may not be the real deal. If familiar with the Keen brand, you'll recognize, and feel the difference right away. Have ordered many things from Amazon with no problem....this time was an exception.

i usually have problems finding shoes that fit - usually i get scratches and scabs at least in the beginnig until the shoes mold into the feet. well, keens are a different story. these shoes are amazing. i bought them for a trip throughout asia, and i literally lived in them for months, and didn't want to take them off. they're so sturdy and waterpfroof - perfect on the road, from cities and walking, climbing, swimming, caves and hiking to rainy days and shower stalls. and they breathe - so nasty sweaty feet are a thing of the past. the shoe is designed for constant foot support. i really can't praise them enough. now i'm getting another pair, because my first ones were STOLEN(!!) in laos outside of a guesthouse.

I do like these shoes a lot--they're great for gardening, hiking, biking, running on the treadmill, etc. They don't have quite as much arch support as my Birkenstocks, which was a bit of a disappointment, but I'm finding my feet don't ache at the end of the day either, so it must be just enough support for my high arches. And it was kind of hard to run in my Birkenstocks--though I did it--because I'm a dork :). It's just that I'm not a tennis shoe person, at all. So getting used to the closed in feeling of the Keens may take awhile. My biggest complaint about them is that the synthetic material of the footbed makes me feel so hot. I sweat quite a bit with these, which has never been an issue for me before. I don't sweat as long as I'm moving but as soon as I'm still, I do. So that's my #1 problem with these, and I'm surprised no one else has mentioned it. Also, definitely order a half size up from normal with the Venice.

The sizing for this style is very inconsistent. I ordered 4 colors in the same size to try on and they all for completely differently. Everyone says to size up 1/2 size which worked for some but then same fit true to size and others had to be sized up a full size. Good luck!

Other than sizing the shoe is pretty good looking for what it is, waterproof hiking shoes. It doesn't look as chunky as other water/hiking shoes which I love.

Dear Keen: Either you got ripped off by your shoe manufacturer in China, or you messed up a really great thing.

This is my fourth pair of Venice H2 Keens. I loved these shoes. I have worn my other three pairs for two years, one for water sports, one for my rowing machine, and one for general wear. I particularly loved how they adapted to the width of my feet, being adjustable and flexible. I could walk 5 hours while on trips in them and if my feet swelled a bit, no big deal. My trusty Keens were comfortable and never gave me a blister. But this pair is MUCH tighter than the others. When I hold them up to my other pairs, the straps are almost all uniformly 1/4 to almost 1/2 inch shorter. These shoes do stretch over time, so I figured maybe I could wear them a day or two and they would be okay. Instead I got very painful foot cramps. REALLY SUCKY. I don't think buying a size up will help either, because it isn't the length of the shoe that's the problem.

Very, very disappointed. I thought I would be wearing these shoes until they put me away in my coffin.
