A bit dsappointed, February 25, 2010
This review is from: KETTLER Happy plus Princess Tricycle (Toy)
I ordered this trike for my second daughter because i had always heard good things about Kettler trikes. I liked the option of the handle in the back and that it had adjustable seat and handles so it would grow with her. First off we only received instructions in German, so that wasn't a good start. And now we are having trouble with the handle bar that is inserted into the front wheel to steer the bike. It's like the part is loose or stripped so when you want to steer you can't cause it's not a tight fit. I thought this bike was top quality for what we paid, but I was very disappointed. I don't think I would buy another after this experience.

Excellent tricycle, so far at least!, March 27, 2009
This review is from: KETTLER Happy plus Princess Tricycle (Toy)
We were shopping for a tricycle for our 2.5 year old daughter, and had decided on the Kettler Happy Plus Princess, which we had found in a local toy store. Luckily, my wife encouraged me to check out the price at Amazon.com, where it was around $50 cheaper! Also, the price of this one just dropped from $200, which I paid on Monday, to $192 today, as I write this review.
Anyway, made the order on Monday, and it was already delivered by Tuesday! We generally have Two-Day delivery as I am an Amazon Prime member, but I was really impressed that this came in 24 hours!
The Kettler box came inside a larger Amazon brown box, and everything was in good shape and all parts were present. I had been forewarned that assembling the Kettler Trikes can be a bit challenging, so I was not surprised that it took me a little under an hour total to put it together. It wasn't hard, but yes, the instructions are not always very clear. The provided tools worked fine, I have no complaints.
We've only just gotten our daughter started on it, but I have to say that she absolutely loves it! She still doesn't pedal much on her own, but loves to be pushed around. It's nice to be able to lock the handlebars, but I think I have to work on the alignment a little, as the trike veers a few degrees to the right while I'm pushing it.
We decided on the Princess over the Air Happy (really wanted the inflatable tires, which are not available on the Princess) for the bucket, storage bag, and over course, the color scheme! We also decided against the Navigator, as it seemed more bulky, and also, the comments about the rear navigation system not being necessary are true - all you need to do is use the push bar to lift the front wheel to change directions.
Overall, although we've only been using this trike for a few days, it's already a big hit, and will be sure to get much more use this spring and summer, and hopefully for several more years! One reason we decided to go "top of the line" with the quite expensive Kettler is that we expect to be able to use it for more than just one year - and this sturdy little bike and quality workmanship looks like it will hold up just fine!

Great tricycle, November 1, 2009
This review is from: KETTLER Happy plus Princess Tricycle (Toy)
I bought this for my 2 year old niece and she absolutely loves it. I think it is built very well. I especially like the fact that it is adjustable as she grows and gets bigger. I also purchased the foot rests and think they are a great I dea, so she can ride the tricycle until she learns how to pedal. Overall I am very happy with the purchase.Joshua Haremza, DDS ( [...])
