My husband and I bought these for Christmas for our boys, so we've just had them today, but we're so far very glad we decided to get these, and having been saying so all day. We got a good deal on them though, about $35 for 100.
Our 20 month old liked them, but wasn't that interested. Our three year old (in a month) spent nearly ALL DAY playing with them.... and, so did my husband. They both had a blast and I can see us needing more than 100 in the future (part of the reason our 20 month old didn't get much time with them, 3 year old monopolized a bit and when that happened, he moved on).
While our son couldn't do a lot of things from the book without help (which again, dad was more than willing to provide), we were amazed at what he could do on his own. Lots of fun!
Edited on March 9th- Just wanted to say that these are still a favorite, "the best money we've ever spent", according to my husband. We have since purchased another set of 100 and both boys are better able to play with them. Both love them.

Kids of all ages seem to enjoy building different things with these planks. I will watch them play for hours using their own imagination to come up with different designs. A great toy.

My 4 year old twins received these as a birthday gift. I was a bit skeptical with the plain, no-frill package and concept. But we've had the blocks over a month and they have been played with daily by our children (ages 4-11). There are basic and intricate designs included in the box. Our preschoolers like the challenge of the simple designs and our 10 year old is building towers to the ceiling. The blocks are educational and durable. We're ordering more for Christmas.
