The lights are 40 Watt lights -- not very bright.
I use mine as hair lights for portrait photography because they just are not bright enough to use as main lights.
Outdoors, in daylight, they do not work as 'Slave' lights because they just don't see the on-camera flash.
If you understand and work within their limitations, these are wonderful lights, stands, and umbrellas!

Barely passable merchandise, if I had seen this to buy all over I would pass it up. Everything in this kit is ok except for the strobes they are, to put it kindly, cheap, very cheap. The strobes are a total waste of your money. The remainder of the equipment is passable; I would even say this merchandise is good. I would buy them separately if I caught them on sale somewhere.
