5.0 out of 5 stars It has survived for over a year here. I love it.
I do not have the one pictured here, I have the ladybug (style not available at Amazon.com, at least not when I posted). You can download software (from kidzmouse.com that makes the right mouse button work like the left one. It is smaller than a standard mouse.

My daughter has been using it over a year (she is 3 1/2 now). I tried using a standard mouse but she would...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not squeezable or very small
The only reason to buy this mouse is for the picture stamped on it. The "squeeze anywhere" is an outright lie.

I bought this for my child because it was supposed to be smaller (for their smaller hands) and it claims "Squeeze my head anywhere and I will click!". Well, it is a bit smaller, but you can find many mice for laptop computers that are this size or smaller. The...

The mouse I already have is the same width and only a little bit longer. I don't know where they get away with saying squeeze anywhere because this is just an ordinary mouse with regular buttons. If you don't press the buttons it won't click. You can't even press or squeeze the buttons sideways.

It doesn't feel very durable either. There is a lot of play in the buttons which seems to be just waiting for a button to snap off. Especially if you squeeze sideways.

My daughter has been using it over a year (she is 3 1/2 now). I tried using a standard mouse but she would constantly click the right mouse button or be unadle to move the mouse and click at the same time due to the large size.

It had been dropped on the floor many times, works fine. We have the optical version. It is also possible to get USB so you can use this mouse and a "regular" one at the same time.

I am an Elementary School Technology Teacher. I give this a thumbs up!

5.0 out of 5 stars A perfect kids mouse, September 10, 2004

I am very pleased with this purchase. Installation was a snap. I downloaded the one-button driver and installed it in less than 10 minutes. I can activate/deactivate the one-button feature using an icon on my desktop. I use a front panel usb port and can unplug/plug in the unit and it does not require a restart. When the mouse is unplugged, the icon shows a red circle with a line thru it. When I plug the mouse in, it activates immediately and my adult mouse continues to work normally all of the time. Thank you KidzMouse and Amazon!!!

Our best investment this Christmas for our two-year old, no doubt! My son is very good with the computer, but he would get highly frustrated when he would accidentally hit the right button on the mouse, and a menu popped up in the middle of what he was doing. He would shout, "broke - broke". So, we bought him this mouse - so glad we did! It was a cinch to install; can be done either via a USB slot or via the mouse port on the PC. We installed it as a USB device, thus keeping our regular mouse intact, as is, so the adults in the house can use the right click button when we are on the PC. After you plug in this kid mouse, you go to kidzmouse.com and download the driver for it, which will map the two buttons togther. Now when my son accidentally hits the right side of the mouse, no menu pops up, and it acts just as if he clicked the left button! He is a much happier camper when on sesamestreet.com now! The smaller size mouse is just right for his smaller hands, and the button clicking is so easy to do! THIS WAS A GREAT FIND!

I still haven't been able to get the mouse to accept only clicks on one button but I am sure it is me and how I installed the software to make that happen. I think it prompts you to overwrite existing dlls pertaining to the mouse - which makes me nervous - so I haven't accepted...
