ENDNOTES ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Charles Crismier (Author) , in the 15th chapter, "THE BEAST of BLASPHEMY," in the section, "The 'Great City,'" the author lays claim that it is Rome with it's seven "hills" that the mystery woman sits. But, liberty is taken here, when the bible clearly defines the hills as 7 mountains.
Rev. 17:9 "...The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits, 10 and they are seven kings; five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come..." NASB
This is clearly speaking of mountains symbolizing 7 kings (kingdoms), not hills in Rome. In John's time, 5 kingdoms previously existed:
"Clearly, the seven heads represent seven kings or kingdoms. "Mountains" is a term that can often symbolically represent kingdoms (Is. 2:2, 3; Jere. 51:25; Dan. 2:35, 45; et al).Read more ›
