After the anti-Soviet Russian Rock Star Victor Tsoy (Tsoi) of "Kino" died in a tragic car crash in 1990 with hints of KGB involvement, these last recordings are preserved on this CD. There are 4 sections of recordings:

The 1st section contains remixes of his best hits. The remixes are done with either different instruments or rhythms than the Russian radio hits, if indeed his anti-Soviet poetry was ever allowed to be heard over the air waves. The 2nd section contains an English version of his hit "Blood Type". This is the 1st & only time I have heard Victor Tsoy (Tsoi) singing in my native language. The 3rd section of 7 songs are Russian sounding folk music with a rock beat that seems simple enough but they carry an inner anti-soviet message. One song's plot is the following: 'Life is good with a woman that loves you but there is something missing under the communist star that keeps us from our heavenly shepherd.' These 3 sections are made with a fair recording, but the 4th section sounds like Victor Tsoi is practing his songs on rough cassette tape recordings, hiss & all. These should be looked as a historical document of a musical artist working through his music rather than a finish commercial product.
