Kintrex scale,
This review is from: KINTREX® Precision Bath Scale with an Extra Large Backlit Display, "Sense-On" Technology, and 400 lb Capacity
Love it! Exactly what I was looking for...sleek, bright screen and accurate (and affordable!). Make sure to follow the directions if you need to move it around so that you continue to get accurate readings. If you are only interested in weight and not body fat, etc., then this is great. Also, unlike some newer scales, you can just step on and get your weight (no waiting or tapping the scale first). I think the only drawback is that it is glass and therefore a little heavy, but I keep mine in one place for the most part, so no big deal.

This scale is an excellent value -- I've had scales in the past that cost twice as much and didn't like them nearly as well. Here's what I like:-- Big, bright (blue backlight) display -- Doesn't "change my weight" if moved to different spots on the floor -- The flat glass surface makes it very easy to clean. While I recognize that the "textured" surfaces on some scales are probably better if you're in the habit of weighing yourself immediately after taking a shower (i.e., your feet are wet), those surfaces collect dirt in their cracks that over time before largely impossible to remove -- at least for me --, so overall I prefer the flat glass. -- It's quite thin so it easily tucks up against the wall when cleaning the floor. Some comments about the lithium batteries: We've had the scale for over 3 months now, and the batteries show no sign of weakening. I'm *thinking* the reason many manufacturers switched to lithiums is the longer "shelf life" -- lithiums take about a decade to self-discharge, whereas regular alkaline batteries will often do so in just 2-3 years... after which they often end up leaking! Given how infrequently *some* scales are used (i.e., the batteries will self-discharge prior to being completely "used up"), perhaps this drove the choice to use lithiums over, e.g., AAs or AAAs? So, while I haven't had a problem, I suppose I would prefer to see this scale use AAAs as well. I use enough electronic widgets with these little "watch batteries" (CR2032) that I bought a tray on eBay at something like $0.50/ea, but I sympathize with the reviewer who ended up spending $8 on a pair -- the big retailers do seem to have *very* hefty margins on these items. Overall, I think most people will be happier with this scale than most available at half-again to twice the price -- it really is a "diamond in the rough" here on Amazon.

Great looking scale, sleek design and a few nice features. I may have gotten a defect though. I have to weigh myself a minimum of 5 times before it decides on a weight.....and I don't mean it's 1/2 lb. one way or the other. This morning my 1st 5 weigh ins were withing over 20lbs of eachother. I've weighed myself on this scale twice this year and had the same issue both times. It finally settled on a weight that would come up 3 times in a row. I then weighed myself on 2 other scales and it turns out the weight this scale decided on was off by almost 7lbs. (and one of those scales was a doctor's office the day after). Last straw was this morning when I put a 50lb dumbell on it and was told it weighed over 62lbs when i placed it on the scale....and yes this is on a flat, hard surface.I got a lemon here 2115|R11P9U0PZWRNTB;2115|ROS8QQFB0Z4IH;2115|RZTX8OOIJ0Y44;
