I've just purchased the KINTREX SLC0640 Digital Kitchen Scale. Several things I'm impressed with thus far [keep in mind, this is my first digital kitchen/food scale as I have been using the cheapy $5 spring type one found in many stores, so maybe I'm impressed easily].
(1) AAA batteries [First ones are included (nice), AAA's found anywhere as the small disc-like ones, maybe not as easy --- this was my deciding factor for purchase].
(2) The black glass is simple & smooth for easy cleaning and appears to be scratch resistant [I compare it to the iPhone glass screen], I haven't had it long enough to determine otherwise.
(3) Manual "off" button [saves battery life, I read that some of the others may not have this feature].
(4) Clear, bright LCD light up numbers. Measurements choices lb & oz, fluid oz, and metric.
(5) Tare function for measuring a dish to zero so you can have an accurate measurement of your food item or whatever you're measuring.
(6) Thinly flat for easy storage, I prop mine vertically in the cabinet.
ALSO NOTE: The directions say to "press" the buttons but actually pressing is not necessary. Touching is a better description [again, much like the iPhone screen]. It seems I'm satisfied with my purchase, at least for the whole 2 days I've had it. Hope this review was helpful. :o)
