This review is from: KISS Guide to Fitness (Keep It Simple Series) (Paperback)
This book is a fairly thick softcover book with lots of photos throughout to show you how to do various exercises.
The book has four sections:
Fitness Basics
Getting Fit
A Few Simple Workouts
Fitness Essentials
You can find information for different ages and stages of your life, including pregnancy, working out while traveling, exercising in different seasons, and changing your routines to keep them fun and interesting, as well as challenging.
There are many pieces of equipment shown, as well as how to use them: straps and bands, chin-up bars, inline skates, stability ball, jump ropes, hand weights, rowing machines, and many, many more.
The back of the book has pages of sample workout journals and fitness logs that you can write on or use to create your own. There are also dozens of books and web sites listed to help you get fit for life.
The back cover reads "the only guide you'll ever need" and that is a pretty accurate statement. This is a great reference book for figuring out a longterm lifestyle of fitness, including diet and exercise that you can really do for your entire life. Two thumbs up for K-I-S-S Guide to Fitness!
