Back in high school I collected all of the Kiss comics that were produced by Todd McFarlane, I lost track of the latter issues, and when I was ready to scoop them up, they changed creative teams, and finally Dark Horse took over.

I gave up, so to my surprise when I saw this on Amazon for pre-order, I knew it would be mine, and would fill in the gaps that were missing in my collection.

I have not read the entire book yet, but you know you're in for a treat when you see the UPS guy struggle to carry this thing. It is MASSIVE!

I wonder if Gene and Paul will have signings for this book once they finish up the tour? For a $50 dollar book (it's $75 at your local retailer), it would make perfect sense to do so.

Btw, if you have a Kiss Army member in your family, here you go, your holiday shopping is complete.


HIGHEST POSSIBLE RECOMMENDATION!

I would have hated to be my "mail-lady". She's a little thing and to lug this book up to my doorstep must have been a workout! I LOVE this book!! I had the original two KISS comic books by Marvel and I loaned them to a friend back in '79 or so and I never got them back. Lo and behold I stumble across this monstrosity on Amazon. I had to have it. I already own the Psycho Circus collection and was quite happy to see it in this Kompendium. Never read the Dark Horse comics though so I was happy this was included. I wonder why KISS 4K wasn't included but oh well, I can't be disappointed with this.

Get it and after you're done reading it from cover to cover use it for working out. It's that heavy.

My KISS Konpendium just arrived in the mail. All I can say is "WOW". I have every individual comic book that is in this book. But this is such a beautiful collection of the comics in a very large hardcover book with pictures from the 70's and today added, as well. This is a "must-have" item for every KISS fan. A real quality product!

I bought this book for my brother, who is a major KISS fan, and he has not put it down yet. This is one of the thickest books out there so I figure he will be reading for a while.

I don't know very much about the KISS history but I have skimmed through the book and read a little bit and I can say, as a comic book fan, that this is a great read. The artistry is top notch and the book flows from page to page nicely. I can't wait until my brother is done reading it because I will pick up reading where I left off.

Also, I chose the free shipping option from amazon and I received the item well before the expected delivery date and in perfect condition. Good job amazon!

I would highly recommend this HUGE book to any KISS fan and any comic book enthusiasts who want to read something a little different; all at a great price.

I bought this book as a KISS fan and collector and not as a comic fan. I have never enjoyed comics in my life....at least up until now! As all kids, I read a few comics in my childhood, but grew up and have never considered reading one ever since. I bought Kompendium expecting to just enjoy flicking through and looking at the art, rather than reading stories. Kompendium is massive, weighs more than KISSTORY and is filled with lavish art. The first three comics contained are the two Marvel comics from the '70's and KISSNation, which Marvel released at the time of the reunion. I did not read these, as I have read the two '70's Marvel comics before and they were typcial comics as far as I was concerned, not very interesting, not very enjoyable, and not particularly impressive visually. After the Marvel comics you have the one-off comic that was included in "KISSTORY" - again, I have not read this - it looks somewhat childish.

Next up are all 31 issues of the "Psycho Circus" comics released by Image/McFarlane. Browsing through the incredible art contained in the Psycho Circus comics, I decided to start reading the first part of the series and was immediately gripped. This is nothing like comic books I remember. The story is fantastic - as good as a novel. The dialogue is not your typical "comic-speak" it really is like reading an imaculately illustrated novel. It is that good. I have so far read up to issue 15 "Tale of the Fox II" and I am totally in awe of this story and don't want it to end. It really is the work of a genius. The art is sensational, with incredible attention to detail and lots of little, subtle KISS references thrown in, along with the more obvious. I could not possibly rate this more highly, and this from someone who thought comics were for imbeciles, not so long ago!!

I have not yet reached the Dark Horse comics yet, of which there are 13 issues included, but my gut feeling, from the brief inspection I have given them, is that they will not be a patch on Psycho Circus - but hopefully I am wrong.

If you love KISS and can't decide whether to buy this because you are not a comic fan, give it a go. Just for the art alone this book is a wonderful addition to your KISS collection. But more than that, this book contains the simply incredible "Psycho Circus" series of 31 stories that will leave you spellbound.

All in all, this whopping 1,280 page monster, will certainly surpass your expectations.

Ok let me start by saying you can be a music fan, a kiss fan, or a comic fan and enjoy this entire compendium! It contains Marvel Kiss Classics: Kiss Super special 1 and 5, it has all 31 Todd Mcfarlane Psycho Circus comics, and all 13 Dark Horse Kiss Comics. It also has a Kisstory comic about them digging up stuff for a kiss book and flashing back to things they did on tour. Also has a 24 page behind the scenes gallery. Over all great great purchase, get it while you can.

For all you KISS fans out there or comic book Superhero fans, THIS IS IT!
This book has it all (1280 pages). If you been collecting KISS comic books for a while
you may have most of these but to have them all together in one "GIGANTIC" (10+ plus pounds) book is outstanding.
It's a well made book, the colors, artwork, paper and the overall quality is "EXCELLENT". You will not be dissappointed.

If you love KISS, and you love comic books, or are just into great artwork, this is the book for you. I was very impressed with the weight of paper and the overall quality of this book. It is an enormous book at nearly 1300 pages. The thing that struck me most about the book is the quality of the printing. Each and every page is a joy to just look at, even without reading. Another great addition to KISStory, and to any KISS collection.

This book is awesome. It collects all of KISS comics to date. IT IS HUGE. Do not expect this book to one that you carry around with you for light reading. It is something you sit down for the afternoon and read. I would buy again and recommend to other to buy.

Being a Kiss fan for 30+ years, I am always excited when I can get information about the band. Scrolling through Amazon, I came upon several books on the subject and just started adding a list to my cart, perhaps not realizing what all I was ordering. When I received Kompendium, I was a little surprised. It was much bigger than I thought it would be with all the Kiss comics. After the initial excitement of receiving the book and thumbing through it, I realized I would not have much use for it, so I showed it to my 19 year old son who is attending music school. He loved it and has taken it to many friends to show off. He was thrilled. It has been wonderful sharing this with him and seeing him share it with others.
