5.0 out of 5 stars I Wanna Rock N Roll All Nite and Play Pinball Every Day!, December 11, 2000

KISSTORY "KISSTORY" (Lexington, KY United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: KISS Pinball (CD-ROM)
This version of KISS pinball is a *must* have for all KISS fans. You get two different playing fields to chose from ("Last Stop : Oblivion" and "Netherworld") and 4 different levels of play (Regular, Novice, Arcade, and Tournament). Also, you can play for points or go for the theme of the board you are playing and get to the bonus games! The graphics and sounds are excellent. Both music and voices (Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons)from the band themselves!

Although one note : there are some phrases voiced in the game that may be inappropriate for people under 13, but they do have a parental lock option on the game, so your little KISS fans can play, too!

5.0 out of 5 stars A whole lot of KISS fun!, April 12, 2001

This review is from: KISS Pinball (CD-ROM)
Like KISS? Like Pinball? This one is really a lot of fun. This game moves fast and incorporates everything you want from KISS. Both of the games (Oblivion and Netherworld) are equally challenging and there are 4 skill levels if you think you have mastered one. Stanley and Simmons provide the voices behind the game which is very cool.

You really can't beat this game with a price this low. I bought it one night and played it for hours. It helps if you are a huge KISS fan - but any avid pinball player will love this game. And if you don't have a CPU - it's coming to the Playstation as well for an even lower price! Buy this game!

5.0 out of 5 stars LARGER Than Life, December 12, 2001

This review is from: KISS Pinball (CD-ROM)
I wondered whether I would be wasting twenty bucks on this CD ROM just because I am a KISS fan but when I played my first game I was extremely satisfied and somewhat surprised. Unlike other pinball games from earlier times this one has no jerky motions while you are following the ball (I use a 400 mhz computer). You can load it on your hard drive and file the disc away. Wanna play? No problem. It's a shortcut on your desktop. The multi levels in the two tables are fantastic and the set music is tolerable. Gene and Paul voice commentary during the game and it adds authenticity if you don't mind hearing dorky slogans over and over again like "Fire those pyros!" I would have preferred to hear KISS songs on the soundtrack but this mutant combo of rock/metal is on par with anything KISS would come up with musically. Maybe they did. I don't know. I hear strains of 'God of Thunder' myself. If you like KISS and pinball and don't mind playing with your keyboard shift keys I say give it a try. TWO TONGUES UP!!!
