Kitchenaid Toaster is TOAST,,, and Whirlpool,,,,

We buy my wife a kitchenaid appliance each Christmas and this Toaster was 2008. We don't use a Toaster we just ran out of ideas for gifts. Needless to say I would estimate it's toasting in that time at maybe 4 loves of bread. This morning my wife tells me the toaster isn't working,,,, mmmmm you mean that $150 COMMERCIAL kitchenaid toaster has stopped ALREADY. Well after the thorough investigation of the unit I find it's within the circuit board. Call kitchenaid and of course this 10lb beast has a cheesy 1 year warranty and the lady informs me nobody repairs toasters out of warranty as the cost exceeds a new one. So I start googling parts and find this is actually a WHIRLPOOL toaster and I have yet to find the board separate from the base assembly and YES I can buy a new one for less.So Riddle me this Batman,,,,,, WHY would I even Consider another kitchenaid???? Well I'm NOT!!!!!!!! Ha HA ha HAAAA!!!!!! Kitchenaid you're FIRED!!!! Get out of my office. BTW this toaster replaced our 20 year old $10 toaster!

I bought this toaster from Williams-Sonoma. It didnt toast evenly and I often had to toast it twice just to get bread actually toasted as opposed to warm. I paid $264 5 years ago for it. A waste of money if ever there was one.
