best investment we have made in a long time. I also disagree with the review that it's a poor rendering of the Scripture. Even tho at places the reading does seem to speed up that's just a poor editing job of not leaving enough space between the passages. The main voice is Smooth and Soothing, and the others fit the parts that are read.The Audio is crisp and clean also. Small problems are the Main voice is always a little louder than the various other voices used in the reading, and I'm not really hip on the card-board sleeves that it comes in, buts thats an easy fix. The music, IF you focus on it, is distracting, but so are the sound effects. The point is the Word of God, not the extras. Even with these small nit picks I find it to be a great product, and overall the best investment that we have made in a long time. No store in the area had this item for less than $90, so this is the best deal going. Even with Super Saver Shipping, it got to me in 9 days. 64cds, over 75 hours of audio, I can handle that for a $40 savings! If you like the KJV of the Bible, GET THIS! You will not be sorry.

I have done some research and found that this is the first Dramatized KJV ever done. It is excellent and the reviewer who dissed it is wrong. This is narrated with love and the actors and music and sound effects bring the word-for-word KJV literally to life! Buy the CD version and you can go to book and chapter easily...you will enjoy it and be moved by the poetry and Spirit of the KJV.

We purchased our first audio Bible about 2 years ago. Since then, it has become an asset to the whole family. I listen to it as I am retiring for the night and have found that a person still can learn while they sleep! My husband, being an OTR Driver, rarely has enough down time to spend it reading so the CD's are constantly playing for him while he is going down the road. He later can go back and read the Bible and have a better understanding of what he reads. Our 14 year old daughter loves being able to listen to these CD's and reading along with them in her Bible. She too is learning to pronounce the more difficult names that once hampered her in reading the Bible at all. Now, we all 3 have a better understanding of what the Bible is saying and our lives have changed dramatically over the last few months. God has blessed us with this knowledge within the pages of the Bible and now the audio Bible makes it all more personal for us. With having an understanding of what we are reading, we are able to worship with more confidence. We would recommend this set to anyone who wants to get more from their time spent reading the Bible. It is truly worth the price!! We have just ordered our second set and plan to order another soon so we all have our own without having to share since we never know what part of the Bible we may be led to read and it is difficult to read certain books/chapters if they are shared this way. Make this a part of your daily life and you too will see changes come about in how you feel about reading the KJV!

Although this is a truly wonderful production, the bible can hardly be less, I find the reader's "high" English, and somewhat Shakespearean pronunciation disquieting. Frequently it is very difficult to recognize the proper names and locations that I have become accustomed to hearing otherwise, as spoken by the reader. The concept is wonderful, but too often I am caught up in the speach, pulled away from listen to the words, which is what I really want to do. I would not purchase another of this version for myself or a gift.

I've owned and listened to other CD sets, but none of them come close to The Greatest Love Story Ever Told. To hear God's word as read on these discs is to know Him and His message as clear as crystal. This is the way to give ourselves our daily bread from His Breadbasket.

It's one thing to read the bible. It's another to hear the bible read to you. I personally mix the two together. As I listen, I follow along in my Bible.

These discs play for 75 hours. That's roughly three days. Three days spent with the Lord. Three days hearing His word, and understanding His message. Most people refer to The Bible as God's breadbasket. With this CD set in hand, you can carry His Breadbasket with you. It is the most important and sacred CD set one can own.

Give yourself your Daily Bread and let your heart and spirit be uplifted by His word.

All of the CD's were scratched; I couldn't use them. But the vendor was more than helpful, immediately refunding my purchase 100%. That's the reason for the three stars.

I am enjoying this. I like the different voices for each character. It's great for listening in the car.

What more can be said about the greatest book ever written or in this case heard. It is excellent!

I was excited to buy my first audio bible only to find the sound quality poor, the orchestration horrible and distracting from the Word. Instead of a group of actors playing Biblical figures, it seems there may be about 4 people doing all the roles. I think I could of lived with the dramatization but the music is so bad that I kept asking why the makers of this thought the score was good? It would of been better for them to put classical music in the background, at least it would have been a nondistracting score. Please people, listen to a sample of this before purchasing it!
