I would recommend this study Bible for every Christian. It is, along with the Thompson Chain Reference, the best general study Bible on the market. It will help the believer to dig into the Word on their own. It has the best outlines of all the books I have seen. Though I too use some specialty Bibles too many general Study Bibles, i.e the NIV Study, are so crammed with notes the reader can become distracted. The tools available in this edition of the KJV are there to help us think and understand on our own. Get a notebook, a pencil, and a willing heart and let the Spirit use this Bible in your life.

The New Analytical Study Bible uses the classic KJV text, but inserted are all the changes mandated by modern versions. Therefore a person can have the best of both worlds: The beautiful prose of the KJV with the accuracy of modern textual criticism. The comments and outlines are helpful as well, reflecting neither conservative nor liberal scholarship. The helps are very scholarly and middle-of-the-road theologically.

This bible is hard to find so get one while you can! If you are like me, and love the sonorous beauty of the Authorised Version (KJV to yanks), but wish for the accuracy of modern research, this bible is for you! There is no other bible on the market ANYWHERE which meets both of these criterea. And, for those of you who are afraid of the Authorised version because of its association with conservativism, this is a breath of fresh aire; the notes are rather moderate, and well thought-out.
