I would recommend this study Bible for every Christian. It is, along with the Thompson Chain Reference, the best general study Bible on the market. It will help the believer to dig into the Word on their own. It has the best outlines of all the books I have seen. Though I too use some specialty Bibles too many general Study Bibles, i.e the NIV Study, are so crammed with notes the reader can become distracted. The tools available in this edition of the KJV are there to help us think and understand on our own. Get a notebook, a pencil, and a willing heart and let the Spirit use this Bible in your life.

The New Analytical Study Bible uses the classic KJV text, but inserted are all the changes mandated by modern versions. Therefore a person can have the best of both worlds: The beautiful prose of the KJV with the accuracy of modern textual criticism. The comments and outlines are helpful as well, reflecting neither conservative nor liberal scholarship. The helps are very scholarly and middle-of-the-road theologically.

This bible is hard to find so get one while you can! If you are like me, and love the sonorous beauty of the Authorised Version (KJV to yanks), but wish for the accuracy of modern research, this bible is for you! There is no other bible on the market ANYWHERE which meets both of these criterea. And, for those of you who are afraid of the Authorised version because of its association with conservativism, this is a breath of fresh aire; the notes are rather moderate, and well thought-out.

The scholarship is moderate, and the text is KJV with corrections bracketed in text. A wonderful addition to the theologians or laymans bookshelf with notes that will annoy neither liberals nor conservatives.

Many have said this is the best "study" bible ever. I agree. I now own one for my office and my home as well as one for each of my kids and my wife. This is a terrific resource with a real dictionary, topical study helps, many notes before and after the chapters and much more. I especially like that the helps aren't mixed in with the text. You need this help.

I've been using the Dickson Study Bible since 1979. I have found it very helpful in my study of the word. The notes, annotations, charts, introductions, etc., are the finest I have found in any study bible. Its a hard to find item and well worth the investment for years of service and profitable study of God's Precious Word.

I've owned this Bible for many years. It is truly in a class of its own. While I love the poetic eloquence of the KJV, I must admit I would love to see this Bible in the ESV. What first impressed me and has continued to through the years are the thorough, detailed helps within its pages. I not only have many notes and underlined/highlighted areas within the text itself, but also within the notes, especially those at the end of each book. I sometimes will take my hard bound ESV to church with me, thinking I'll use a more updated translation for a while, but I always end up reverting back to this one. It's like an old friend! This is a Bible that will endure the test of time. I love it.

This is one of the best bibles I have ever owned (I have about 10 different study bibles) It help you to bring all the various scripture to bear on a particular issue you are studing, without pushing you in the direction the preparer wants you to go. It lets the Bible speak for itself.

This is my favorite study Bible. I have owned one since 1979. I bought it because my grandmother had one she had purchased probably sometime in the sixties. I only wish now that it was offered in the New King James Version. Since I am a preacher, I like to use it in my occupation, but many lay-people today have difficulty understanding the King James Version. However as a study Bible--it is outstanding. ---Rev.
