5.0 out of 5 stars Small, portable, perfect for street witnessing, etc
I own a slimline Bible, which I thought was a great size and for the most part it is perfect. After a mission trip where we did alot of street witnessing and I carried my slimline all day long along with tracts and more in a back pack, I realized I wanted to have tracks and Bible in my pockets, rather than in a backpack. This Bible is perfect for that. This version has...

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality of Leather, typeface.
This particular Bible, despite all of the accolades it has, is rather low-quality. First of all it is no longer available on World Publishing's website, so that is one flag. The leather has a cheap smell and grain and the typeface is not printed well onto the "India Type" pages. So it isn't even real India paper....This Bible was very disappointing for a small-sized...

This version has a zipper, rather than a snap, which I think is ideal. It is the size of a deck of cards and thanks to the zipper, the pages don't get ruined, nor does the snap closure make it fatter. The letters are small, but it is impossible to expect the letters to be normal size, and for good eyesight, this is not an issue.

5.0 out of 5 stars Burgundy, Genuine Leather, KJV Very Good!, September 25, 2001
By
JOY A STILLWELL (Wisconsin, United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: KJV Pocket Bible (Leather Bound)
If you order by ISBN# 0-529-06059-0, then you will receive a burgundy, King James Version, genuine leather tiny Pocket Bible with a snap flap! I love mine! It has gold accents and is so tiny, it fits neatly in my pocket and purse. It has small print, but if you have 20/20 vision, you should be able to read it just fine. I looked in many places, and you cannot get a better price anywhere other than Amazon.com.

5.0 out of 5 stars The "Book of Books" in miniature, July 19, 2001

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: KJV Pocket Bible (Leather Bound)
The poetic beauty of the King James Version and timeless grace of the Biblical text are combined in this unique miniature version that can be carried easily wherever one goes, in pocket or purse. It enables the reader to "be ready in season and out" with the scriptures, which are able to make one "wise unto salvation through faith in Jesus Christ" 2 Timothy 3:15. No time need be wasted, whether waiting in line or parking lot, when you have the immortal Word of God close at hand!

The leather has a cheap smell and grain and the typeface is not printed well onto the "India Type" pages. I prefer the Pocket Concord Edition by Cambridge University Press.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality, August 22, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
A good bible makes me happy. This one makes me angry.

The paper quality is terrible. The print quality is also bad.

The covers are cheap and bend very easily in the wrong places.

Amazon. Please stop lumping all the KJV bibles together. I thought I ordered the excellent version from Thomas Nelson 0529064170. Instead, I got the crappy imitation leather 0529058375

5.0 out of 5 stars very pleased!, December 10, 2007
I was very pleased with this Bible. It was the perfect size and just what I was looking for. The print is of course smaller since this is a pocket sized Bible, but is readable without a problem. It isn't jet black like thought the picture showed, but its a very nice deep charcoal. Pretty and well worth the purchase.

The size and shape of this book is great. Fits perfectly inside my wife's purse. It comes in very handy if you go out "Soulwinning". Very light and comfortable to read in bed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Value for Compact Bible, April 12, 2000
By
SJK (New Jersey) - See all my reviews
This review is from: KJV Pocket Bible (Leather Bound)
This (ISBN 0529064170) is actually a leather bound (genuine, not bonded) King James Version compact Bible with a snap flap. It is dark blue in color with silver edges. It is an excellent value for someone looking for a very small Bible (about 3.5" x 5"). Just be aware that the print is very small.

5.0 out of 5 stars world's smallest Bible, December 23, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
When I was in college I had a small pocket Bible to carry with me. Now working at IBM I like to have the same size Bible. This has the entire KJV bible. I prefer the zipper type but to my dismay, this small Bible is no longer published. I had to purchase my zippered one on Ebay. Now I see them selling for over $100. I hope that price will cause the publisher to see there is a demand for this perfect travel Bible. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0529058405/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title

5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, May 3, 2008
This is without a doubt, my favorite Bible. I bought my first one about three or four years ago. About a year ago I found out they don't make them anymore, probably for two reasons. One, there ARE some minor spelling errors, which I've double checked with other Bibles, but I think they replaced it with this ISBN 0529058391, which has a more recent publishing date. And two, this publisher (World Bible Publishers) was bought by Thomas Nelson. The spelling errors are still easily figured out to what they should be. In one case, the word "and" was spelled with the "n" upside down, it looked like a "u." I checked both of my Bibles (I have two of this one) and the error is in both (this gives you some insight to how these Bibles were printed). In another case it says, "Land" when it should be "Hand." Nevertheless, I still love this Bible more than all the rest of my Bibles (I'm a little OCD with Bibles). I keep it in my back pocket always, I've added four more ribbon markers to it, and read from it on every lunch break at work. One of these Bibles went through a crash on my motorcycle (I slid on it in my pocket accross the asphalt at about 65mph), the bike was pretty jacked up, but my Bible just had a decent amount of road rash. It's still going strong. If you find one, buy it, even if you don't want it. Hang on to it for a couple of years and then put it back on amazon.com and sell it to me.
