I looked at a lot of different outdoor speakers before settling on these and am quite happy. The response range is great, acoustic guitar, percussion and voice are remarkable, bass response is really quite good for small speakers. I tested these speakers in my house before mounting them and they rival the sound of the Bose 301s that I unhooked to test them.
The mounting hardware is a bit awkward to work with but is sturdy and vibration free when completed. I think I will be buying at least one more pair (they do come in pairs).
In all a great value.

I bought a pair of these in black from Costco, and installed them in my garage. They're only bookshelf speakers, but have a very impressive sound. I went back to Costco to buy another pair for my back yard, but they had already sold out. :^(

Fortunately an Amazon seller has them, so I'm going to buy it from them.

Like the other reviewer, I found the brackets a bit tricky to work with, but they're sturdy.

I recieved these speakers for christmas from my wife. They were on sale for 40 dollars at sears on black friday. Last week I went to circuit city and purchased a reciever unit for 60 dollars. This was a discontiued floor model shearwood 500watt unit. I installed the speakers on my garage facing my pool and patio. The sound is amazing. There is no distortion even at high volume levels. I can here the sound thoughout the whole backyard. I may purchase some fake rock speakers to complete the surround sound experience but I am happy with these. The only thing that is a bummer is the ackward way that you have to install the bracket and speaker wire onto the speaker before mounting. Other wise you can't get your hand back there to install the wire or to position which direction you want the speaker to face.

Look, I only paid what [...] bucks for these? I can't remeber. I've had them outside for three years now. They still work fine and this is after three winters in Vermont so I'm not complaining. They are not very efficient so I am always strugling with the the loudness of my outside vs inside speakers when they are both on at the same time. Sound is OK. Nothing special but they work for outside. I will replace eventually.

Great Product,fills my yard with good sounds.From The Beach Boys to Aerosmith it all sounds good.

I BOUGHT THESE SPEAKERS TO TRY THEM, THINKING THEY DIDN'T SOUND GOOD BECAUSE OF THE PRICE, BUT BELIEVE ME, THE DUAL WOOFER MAKES AN EXCELLENT BASS SOUND. I PUT THEM ON MY YARD AND THE SOUND DIDN'T DISAPPER. I JUST ORDER ANOTHER PAIR.
