Great gear for entry level,

This review is from: KLH HTA-4906 6-Piece 550-Watt Twisty Home Theater System (Electronics)
The five 2-way satellite speakers are really cool.If you like movie, then then 50-watt powered subwoofer in a front-firing bandpass will be your favorite. Subwoofer features power switch and level control, plus line-level and speaker-level inputs, with feed-through to satellites It's great for entry level.

Plastic junk,

I thought I would give KLH a try based on several reviews that this company made good gear. This was a big disappointment. These speakers have nothing - they sound like tin cans. Now you could say you get what you pay for, but I honestly cannot find anything nice to say about them. They have no bass, the midrange is muddy - seems like a few octaves are simply missing, and the highs are loud, but not crisp. The subwoofer is somewhat decent, but its not really 50 watts. It is 25 watts RMS, 50 watt peak. RMS should be the only rating you look at, as it is a more standardized measure of power. I returned mine to the store

Buyer Beware,
By A Customer

This actually is a review on the seller rather then the item. I ordered this item through Amazon.com and it was shipped by J&R Music and Computer World. When I received the item, it was stamped refurbished on all sides of the box, so I never openned it. There most likely is nothing wrong with buying a refurbished item, but the point is that the description on Amazon.com did not say that it was a refurbished item. I'm sure it's not Amazon.com's fault, but be careful of who you're actually buying from...
