I bought these speakers to be used in the landscaping around my pool. It worked well first time I installed them. These are outdoor speakers that are supposed to be water resistant. After a couple of months through a few rainy days, the speakers started to have a discoloring all around the grill. It looked like rust and really looked terrible. What was supposed to blend in with the landscape now became an eye sore. Then they stopped working. Apparently, they are not as water resistant as they claim and when I called the company to deal with they warranty, they were very uncooperative and said I should not leave them outside. This doesn't make sense as they are advertised as outdoor speakers. DO NOT BUY THEM!!

Have owned several outdoor speakers, and this pair is the best I have found in this price range. Granite-style finish looks great in pool/patio area.

Specifications state "moisture resistant", not waterproof - how else would the sound be audible through the grille? Flexible set-up is easy, with 50 feet of underground speaker cable. Maybe other reviewer had it next to a sprinkler.

6.5" woofer and 1" tweeter for surprisingly rich sound. Can't go wrong for the price; bought 2 sets because it was such a good deal, but sound quality from 1 set was fine for my needs.

Weatherized enclosure is intended for outdoor use, no problems at all with discoloration or malfunction. Can't comment on customer service since none was required, but KLH Audio makes higher-end products; can't imagine KLH giving consumers a hard time! Great for parties, or relaxing with the Sunday newspaper.
