4.0 out of 5 stars A good chain so far..., March 29, 2009
This review is from: KMC Z510HX DropBuster BMX Bicycle Chain (1-Speed, 1/2 x 1/8-Inch, 112L, Silver) (Sports)
In November 2008 I installed the chain on an '80s era 3-speed with coaster used as a daily commuter within the city limits of Philadelphia, PA. I used a Pedro's chain tool and not the master link provided. The bike weighs over 40 pounds and I am about 185 lbs., so these forces along with the endless stopping and starting of city riding make a strong chain essential. I relube the chain after heavy rain and about once a month with a Teflon lubricant. IMHO, the chain runs smoothly and quietly.

For the PURPOSE & PRICE this has got to be THE BEST bicycle chain you can buy! No exaggeration! No baloney! Just good ole' fact-a-mundo! The chrome-finish is ball-peen proof and the metal itself is a heavier gauge than most you'll run across these days. The company that manufactures these chains has been doing so for-ever and it shows in their craftsmanship. Anyway, there you go and there you have it!

I work with a Spinning facility and we were having an issue with broken chains. After reading a review of this particular chain I ordered one in to try on a bike. It is just terrific, just a month into it it seems to have solved the problem with broken chains. Oh by the way I ordered in an additional 12 to have in inventory.

When I rotate the crank on my bicycle, the chain transfers energy from the front sprocket to the one that is mounted on the rear hub, thereby causing the vehicle to move forward. What more could I expect of it? If you buy a chain like it and install it on your bicycle, you will experience an identical phenomenon.
