Based on negative reviews, I was about to pass on getting a long-wanted white bike chain to match the rims and white accents on my Fuji Feather. I was also concerned I might be downgrading the nice chain that came with my bike. NOPE. Went to Fuji's website and lo and behold this IS my stock bike chain. I ride fast, hard, and regularly flip-flop between a 15t cog and 16t freewheel (this puts mega stress on chains). Never had an issue and don't plan on having one. I'm going to use my stock chain to lock down my Brooks saddle.

Sorry guys, I have to chalk the bad reviews up to user error. If you can't assemble a chain or are clumsy with a chain brute, pay your LBS $5 to do it!

I don't see the point in investing in any other brand of chain - KMC is very excellently priced for the quality, I'd expect to pay double or even triple what I payed for the same quality chain at a store. It is already greased and ready to go - the last one I got came with a master link but the 112L one did not, I already have a lot of master links though so that was not an issue. (You may also have to change the amount of links anyway so if you don't already have one, pick up a chain tool for about 4 bucks that comes with some master links at Walmart.)

I'm been turned on to KMC chains ever since my LBS recommended it over the higher priced SRAM or Campy chains. They are indeed great quality for the price. This chain came oiled, simple to install, comes with a connector link that's simple to install. No chain tool required. I've been running it for about a month and no problems. Smooth as butter and quiet as a baby. Great product, great price. I'd recommend this chain for any fixed-gear build for your around town bike. I'm a KMC buyer for life!

Put this chain on my bike around 4 months ago and it broke. The outer plate on one of the links broke off of the pin. The only thing holding the chain together was one plate on the other side of the link. This isn't safe to ride on and luckily the chain didn't break while I was riding it. My bike is a fixed gear and I didn't have a break on my bike until recently so skid stops probably had a big effect on the chain, but it still shouldn't have done this.

If you want to know if I remember correctly the only time I broke the chain was when I put a smaller chainring on my bike.

This could be a good chain if you need a single speed chain and can't spend a lot of money (but 20 dollars isn't much more), but I won't be buying this chain again. I'd rather get a 20 dollar chain that will last me a lot longer and will only stretch, not break.

KMC makes some of the best bike Chains for the money, however you get what you pay for, this is a lower end chain, it stretches quite a bit, it's not pretty but it is functional for cruising around, BMX Racers and Freestyle riders know this chain is in no way made for them.

I've been using this chain for about a month now and it works just fine and seems strong,
especially for riding fixed gear bikes.
The price was great and I received it very fast.

This is my standard chain for the fixies/single speeds I ride and build. I've used them with and without the master link, and never had a problem. The selection of colors is really fun, and the color stays nice through pretty serious abuse. They do rust out after a month or two of riding in the snow, but all chains do that...and at this price, I don't feel bad about replacing them a bit more often! Great, economical, stylish chain for daily use.

Great quality chain, not sure why other people have been complaining about it breaking. Like anything else, if you don't install it right its not going to work right ;)

I've been using this chain for a few months of pretty intense single speed mountain biking, putting way more stress on it than a regular user and haven't had a single issue.

I will mention though that the red coloring is horrible. I could have done a better job with spray paint. The color is not even throughout the length of the chain and the internals of the chain are littered with over spray. Obviously this is a cheap chain and I didn't expect perfection I just thought it was worth mentioning.

According to my 15 year-old son, this bike chain is awesome. It looks great, was easy to install, and rides really well. He also appreciated how quickly we received it!

I can't say enough about this product. This KMC chain offers great durability and strength while looking awesome with the red finish. Anyone who is fixing up or looking to add a little color to their single speed should get this chain.
