Even though this is an older version of the famous lock, it works well. I purchased it because the cable exits the lock parallel to the laptop rather than perpendicular as do all current models. I'm using it to secure a digital photo frame in a retail environment. The cable is thick enough to serve as a bike lock, but at least you have peace of mind. You can't go wrong. Minus one star for the really thick cable, but for some this could be a plus rather than a minus.
