The item was *not* new. It was missing a key piece of hardware and one of its petals was stained. The company that sold it changed its name in the week between purchase and receipt of the incomplete/damaged item. There was and is only one company selling this item on Amazon, but the name has changed again. The item was manufactured for a major, Swedish furniture company--their logo and product numbers are all over the packaging and instructions, including the section for if you have problems with the item. When I called that company, they'd never heard of the company that sold it to me, under either of the two names. So far, I'm out over $50 (yes, somehow it was billed to me as over $56 and change, with only $6-7 of that shipping, how?!). I tried to rate the company, but Amazon's form glitched, and now they tell me you can only rate a company once and there's nothing they can do to provide my feedback or warn any of you. BUYER BEWARE!
