4.0 out of 5 stars Great toy for the price
I bought this toy because Amamzon's price was a great bargin compared to other stores. I would have given this product 5 stars but gave it only 4 because the can is so large and the lincoln logs only fill is maybe half way. There is a lot more room for more logs. 115 sounds like a lot but you are only able to make the one cabin seen on the front. I ended up buying...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not enough peices
I was disappointed with this toy because there were not enough of the larger logs, and, I believe, there is a limited amount of structures for a child to make. It was purchased for a five-year-old, and based on one of the reviews I had read, I decided that the larger set in the box would be too large and heavy for him to handle, so I opted for this set.

There is a lot more room for more logs. 115 sounds like a lot but you are only able to make the one cabin seen on the front. I ended up buying additional logs (not lincoln logs) so that me and the kids could build additional buildings and a fence.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lincoln Logs, January 16, 2007

I was very happy with the Lincoln Logs I ordered for my three year old grandson. He has been enjoying them. They seem to be more complicated than they were when my son was his age which was about 35 years ago or close to it. Then it was only one small log cabin but this set is a western building. My grandson has still been able to build something that he likes. Thank you for making it available.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not what I remember as a child!, September 8, 2008

Commemorative Edition TinI purchased the Lincoln Logs for my 3 year old grandsons. I must say that I was disappointed with the quality of the product. The instructions say not to use the product on carpet because the dye may rub off and stain it! The green roof slats are rounded on one side. The roof is very hard to attach to the roof trust for a three year old. Because the side that is round is the side that faces down, they are hard to keep in place. Also, the way in which the red trust is cut, the green roof pieces slide off too easy. If I had it to do all over again, I would not buy it! It would probably be better to shop a garage sale and try and find an old set that was made correctly. A very sad shopping experience.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lincoln Logs, November 2, 2007
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
The tin came severely dented which detracted from the gift. It was pricey considering how little the amount of Lincoln Logs were inside. I would not purchase it again for another gift. The upside? It's Lincoln Logs.

4.0 out of 5 stars a good choice, May 30, 2007
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
I sent some to my grandson, who was four years old at Christmas time. He must have enjoyed them very much because he said that he wished his grandmother could be at his fifth birthday celebration so she could give him some more Lincoln Logs. Of course, I sent him some more for his fifth birthday. I remember them from my childhood, and I think they are a good choice for a child to help them develop important skills.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great classic toy!, November 3, 2008

My children have been wanting a large set of Lincoln Logs for a couple of years, so I got the tin this last Christmas. They play with it all year long and have a great time building and playing together. This is a great toy for the imagination. They love to use their Little Pet Shop animals inside for make-believe play.

I bought this product for a Christmas present for my Grandson. He started playing with them almost immediately. With help, he is only 4 years old, he built his first structure Christmas morning. I remember having a set of Lincoln Logs as a child,65 years ago. I remember the countless hours of enjoyment I had with them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun toy but needs more peices for cost, November 9, 2008
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Commemorative Edition Tin (Toy)
My son has absolueley Loved this toy and has played with it non stop since Christmas. I have to admit that I have played with it almost as much as he has. It is easy to see why it is a classic that is still around after all these years. However, the 100 pc tin sounds like a lot of peices (and it SHOULD be for the price) but in actuality we could use more. Simply because in order to make the houses shown on the tin you have to use ALL of the peices, there is no room for error or misplacing. I know we can get another set to compliment our set and plan to do so, but for the cost and size of the tin, I would have liked to see it come with more.

My nephew turned 2 and this was exactly what he had wanted. Great for kids who enjoy building sets and a bit of crafts. This will be his second set and he plays with it hour after hour and so on.
