My six year old loves Knex. This is his second tub. He's made some very cool creatures. We did have a couple of pieces break. But we called Knex and they sent replacements free of charge -- great customer service. It's a great toy for fine motor skills and following directions. My son likes to build from a plan. For just creative building, Legos are probably better.

This toy is great. My son loves to build things and building bugs is even better. Great investment.

Basically, this toy is great for awhile. Then, the pieces got lost over time. The dogs get hold of them and run off. So, for our use, not as good as items like Legos seem to be.

My sons, ages 5 and 7 play with these a lot! My 5 year old has spent every spare minute over the last week making these creatures! This is a great K'Nex set!!!

I purchased two sets of K'Nex 400 piece tubs for my 6 year old son. He really enjoys Legos and Bionicles. We could spend hours building stuff. It didn't take him to long to figure out how it all worked. He did need some help connecting some of the smaller pieces. Overall this is a wonderful building set. I gave is 4 stars on durability because my 3 year old got a hold of the longer bars and bent them a bit. I was able to straighten it back out but there's some obvious stress to the bar now.

Love to watch my grandsons put things together! It can be a family thing!! Fast Shipping too!

Bought this set to keep at my house when my grandchildren visit. The eight year old grandson played with it, but they seem to enjoy all their Lego sets much better. I'm sure they'll play with this K'nex with each visit.

This is a great gift for children of all ages. I'm doing Christmas shopping early and I got 4 others in and had to order another for my 21 year old son. These are great.
