My family, all of us 300 pounders, waited anxiously for this deluxe seat to arrive. Having only one bathroom for the 6 of us we required a seat that we could all utilize often and with the utmost confidence. I can't count how many times we've all broken previous products, often in the middle of the night with a scream to wake the dead and our neighbors as well. My eldest son, a whopping 350 of manly blubber, cracked the previous seat after our last outing to the Country Buffet and ended up in the ER with contusions and severe abrasions of his backside. We didn't criti(size) him because if it wasn't our big guy Billy that cracked the seat it could well have been our gal, big Sally. While we have had our new deluxe seat for only one day we all think we have found the appropriate solution to our seating problems. Furthermore, the seat adds a great deal of flair to our otherwise telephone booth size apartment bathroom.

The "quiet close" feature works as claimed. This seat will never slam down. Seems durable. Other than that, well, what's to say? It's just a toilet seat.

Product came to my front door within a day or 2. Exactly what I ordered, high quality, good protective packaging, no scratches or damages. Came with clear instructions and necessary mounting accessories.

Once you have used a quiet close seat, you will not want anything else. This one from Kohler is a good weight, i.e. not flimsy but very sturdy and has stayed in place tightly ever since installed.

I have changed toilet seats successfully several times, but I found this one very difficult to install. In addition, the directions are on the side of the cardboard box, so I could only save them by taking a box cutter to the box; now I have to save a big piece of inconvenient cardboard until the visit of a friend who can correct the installation -- it's really preferable for instructions to be on a separate piece of paper.

For about 4 weeks, works as described. Appears to be sturdy, Easy to install and remove. Would buy again.

The Kohler K-4733-0 seat fit well on my Kohler toilet. The slow motion closing of the seat works well. I do not like the quick release attach points. The quick relase adds to movement of the seat from side to side. Unless you like to clean under the seat hinge, this option is just useless. The seat itself is uncomfortable. It's contored sharply in the back and ramped up in the front. Sitting on the seat feels like being forced to lean back. I have never seen a seat shaped like this one, and I wish I had not bought it. It puts your butt low and your legs pushed up. I just wanted a normal rim to sit on. I don't think a video review is needed.

I have never replaced a toilet seat before and was not looking forward to it.
This came very quickly and was easy to install.
A feature I did not appreciate was the "no slam" aspect.
That's right....the lid will not slam, nor will the seat slam down.
It just slowly closes.
I thought it was kind of a joke, but no. I have come to appreciate it as
a feature that I will always insist on.
Middle of the night.....you will not awaken everyone in the home with a loud
noise. I recommend this....very sturdy and a great feature.

The seat does what it should do. And it closes gently...what more can one say? Decent quality plastic.

I guess if it could walk the dog and pay the bills it would be perfect!

This is a nice seat, EXCEPT the bolt set has stainless steel bolts (good) and plastic wing nuts (very bad). Packaging steel with plastic is dumb and they will not hold. I suspect the Kohler people decided to save about 10 cents with the plastic wing nuts instead of steel or brass. I also suspect the Kohler execs do not install their own product and are clueless about this defect.
