I bought this to do RAW video recording using Magic Lantern on the Canon 5D Mark III. It doesn't benchmark as high as some of the other 1000x cards, but it handles the RAW video fine. I can record up to 1920x1152 without dropped frames on a May 30th build of Magic Lantern. Aligning the partition on the card did boost the benchmarks a bit, but it didn't translate to being able record any higher resolution video.

For stills, in burst mode, I get about 24 frames before the buffer runs out and the shutter slows down. The Transcend 400x I replaced hit about 14 frames before slowing.

So far no quality issues and the price is fantastic compared to the more recognizable brands.

Ordered 2 separate cards. Both had unrecoverable write errors immediately after formatting in my Canon 5d Mark II. Buy the Lexar.

Bought this card to see if I could use it for shooting raw video on my 5d. Wound up slower than my san disk extreme card. A waste of time and money unfortnately. If you really need the speed and want the low price you should buy at least three to see if you get one that writes at valid speeds. Be aware that you have to pay your own return shipping.

Initial testing with a net sourced write speed program indicated 1 of the 2 cards I ordered wasn't fast enough for raw video using magic lantern. In camera ML write speed test indicated the same. Actual raw video testing, both card worked fine, filling with no stoppage or errors. The indicated fps rate was approximately the same for both cards, in the low to mid 80 fps range.

Both Komputerbay 64gb cards I purchased work for 1980 x 1080p @ 25fps ML raw video.

Won't do 30fps at that res - or sound.
Had 1 instance of dropped frames.
Aligned partitions on cards in hopes of avoiding that in future.

Happy with cards. And price of cards.

I loved this off-brand card as I was shooting with it. It was fast and held TONS of shots and video from my Canon 5D Mark III. Unfortunately, as I was offloading the data to my iMac it said it had corrupted data. I unmounted, then tried to mount the card again and it wouldn't even show up.

The Mac Disk Utility only sees it as a 35 MB folder - no mountable drive, and the software packages I bought from the app store don't see it either. Even the camera won't recognize or format it.

As tempting as the price may seem, it ain't worth it. Pro or amateur photogs should stick with what works. And that's not KomputerBay.

I am a professional sports photographer. I decided to give this product a try to see if it was as good as some of the reviews I read and not have to pay so much for this size of card. Well, I found out immediately that I had made a mistake. I formatted the card, as directed before photographing, to my camera. I took 31 photographs in RAW format. I downloaded the photographs to my computer. When trying to view them 17 of them were smeared with colors. The best comparison I can give you is what a watercolor picture looks like when you drop water on it. I tried viewing it in three major programs that I have with the same results. I am doing a major photo shoot in Yellowstone next week and do not trust this card to use it on such an important event. I am going back to my compact flash cards that I have never had a problem with. So in this case, I guess I got what I paid for compared to the leading brands. I contacted Amazon Customer Service in regard to my experience. THEY were excellent! They sent me an e-mail that provided a label to ship the product back to them free of charge and then will reimburse the money I spent for this item into my account. Now that's what I am talking about for customer service. It wasn't their product but they had shipped it and they handled the situation without any frustration to me! That is why I am an Amazon.com fan!!!!

I'm using it with ML Raw on my 5D MK3. The ones that work work very well, actually better than other more "reputable" cards even. The price is great but the issue is that some cards are not up to par with the ones that do work. I have had cards with pink lines and dots and some that drop frames and other that work perfectly. I say order them and send back the ones with issues, that is if you have time to thoroughly test them first! I wouldn't just stock up on these and expect to go shoot one card after another and have no issues when you check your raw footage, you need to test each card thoroughly before using.

The card broke after less than 15 uses. It basically just stopped working for no reason and the camera said it was unreadable. I am sad to say, but buy the more expensive one. I am just plain out $130.00.
