Picked up one of the Tiger pattern at a store, along with other toys. All 3 kitties LOVED this. Great size: 11" x 4" pillow section, 7" tail. They rush it, attack, bite and rabbit-kick the heck out of it. Then they curl up and hug it and use it for a pillow. It's so adorable and hilarious to watch.

Bought 3 more on Amazon (better price $5.99). 2 Giraffes and 1 Cow pattern, so this same review's in all 3 products. The kitties don't seem to have any preferences on the patterns.

Durability - bought in July, it's now October, and they all still look new, despite all the rough play with teeth and clipped claws. They still love them, and carry them in their jaws around the house, so we're always finding them in the strangest places.

Con: Can't change the catnip, there's no refillable pouch. Come on! Should be a given. Minus 1 star.

Bottom line: 3 of 3 kitties approve. A definite hit in our kitty household.

I gave one to my cats and they love to grab it and kick, kick, kick! So I bought one for a friend's cat who does not like catnip. He grapped, fell to the ground and kicked it vigorously. Finally he took a nap with his head on his Kickeroo.

One cat likes this toy, the other LOVES it! I don't know what it is about this, but they really do kick it. And bite it, and rub it. Have had this toy 1 week, no sign so far of any seams coming apart or fabric ripping.

Ordered this after reading that it was super awesome, and got it at a pretty good price. As with most things for the cats, they really loved the cardboard box it came in, and were completely disinterested in the toy. I need to save my money and just start throwing boxes on the floor.

While the cats not liking it is kind of the fault of the cats, I can't forgive some weird design issues. The tail is fluffy, but sheds a lot of black fuzzies. The white ribbon around it (that I assume is there for leverage so the cat can kick the thing?) came off almost immediately. It's not sewn on or anything, it just ties loosely around the toy. So god knows where it is in the house at this point. And, much like others, I didn't detect any catnip on it, though that could be because I am not a cat. Still, would have been a nice and thoughtful design element to allow one to fill 'er up with catnip from time to time, like other toys the cats pretend to be interested in before they play with the box.

Bottom line: The dog likes it, so there's a plus. BUT, it's not too well-made, so we can't really tug at it with the dog either. I'd save your money and rub catnip all over a cardboard box instead.

Our cat Ben LOVES his Kickaroo! It is the best cat toy ever! We have had great luck with all of the Kong brand toys that we have bought but he definitely loves this one best. He rolls, kicks, jumps, curls, and bites all over this thing. Best of all, he prefers to play with it alone. I love playing with him, but it is nice to see him play with something on his own too. My favorite is when he tires himself out and then curls up with the Kickaroo hugging it/using it as a pillow. It is adorable! Great product!

I held off buying this because I wasn't sure if my cats would use it, and they have plenty of cat toys. However once they started pulling the towels down and rabbit kicking them, I decided to give it a try.

Almost immediately after setting it down, our most dominant cat started playing with it, biting and rabbit kicking it. Then once he got bored, the male kitten came around and did the same thing. Then our third shy female started playing with it too, even though she doesn't react to catnip.

I didn't give it 5 stars since I just got it and haven't had a chance to test the durability. It does state on the package that this is for supervised play, like Da Bird, so the cats don't rip it to shreds. I generally put up their "well liked" toys after play sessions so they don't love them to death prematurely.

Wow, what can I say, within a minute or less of me presenting this new toy to my almost 10 yr old Orange Tabby, Dylan grabbed a hold of this thing and started the kicking and hugging and more kicking it, he hugged it more, he wrestled with it, and when he wore himself out he hugged it and rested his head on it. Im going to have to pickup a few more of these. its 11-26-10 I saw online pet-sm@rt has some of them on sale for $3.50 in the store. My dog likes this thing too, but I have to watch b/c Daisy likes to chew things up, and If i dont keep this toy away from the dog, it wont be around much longer. but ABSOLUTELY I would recommend this to any cat owner, whose cat likes catnip stuff, Dylan totally loves it and I'm so glad I got it for him. THe one I got him was the tiger pattern. pick it up, you wont be disappointed !!

We have a Bengal, Leo, who loves to kick when playing. A co-worker recommended we try this toy, and I'm so glad that we did! Leo plays rough with it, and likes to rabbit kick it. He'll flop down next to it and then start wrestling with it, gnawing at the fluffy tail while wrapping his arms/paws around the body of the Kickeroo while kicking at it like mad. This poor thing has certainly been played with quite a bit. Unlike some of the other reviewers, it's held up wonderfully well for all the love (or abuse) that has been lavished upon it. I also haven't noticed any issues with the fluffy tail shedding; both have actually held up very well. His first one lasted about 6 months but was starting to get rather threadbare so we just got another one. He loves it too, more than his old one at the moment since the catnip is fresher and thus more attractive to him. My only complaint is that you can't refill it with fresh catnip (or I haven't figured it out yet if it's possible).

I highly recommend the Kong Kickeroo for any cats that love to kick or wrestle with their toys!

My cats loved this when I first gave it to them, but after the first few days, just started ignoring it. They don't back-scratch it as much as I thought they would...more or less they treat it like a pillow for sleeping.

My cat carries this toy around the house. I have found it in his bed, my bed, the couch & just about every other place imaginable. He loves attacking & kicking it.
