This is a great toy. It's interactive and allows the dog to remove the little squeeky pouch from the mouth of the snake - and for the really adventurous dog, there is a tiny pouch in the tail as well. My dog worked on the tail pouch for an hour one day until finally removing it. The toy is quite durable as well. My dog is an expert at de-stuffing toys and tearing the seams. This toy lasts a long time before needing to be replaced. It's a great purchase and I recommend it highly.

These toys are among the best plush dog toys out there, and we've tried several. I don't think any are truly "indestructible" since there's always a dog somewhere that will defy that claim, but these are well made and worth buying for the majority of dogs. Just be *sure* to buy the size that suits your dog; don't buy one too small that can be swallowed easily! Dr. Noys' toys are great in that they always include an extra squeaker in the pack, and the toy squeaker is easily replaceable in its hidden velcro pouch. (Squeakers are not indestructible; that's why they include an extra. But the advantage here is that they are very secure, and can't be eaten.) You can even buy separate packages of squeakers if your dog is tough on plush toys. Or you can remove the squeaker if it drives you crazy! ;-) In the larger sizes you can replace the squeaker with a tennis ball for active dogs.

Pay attention to the sizes listed: extra-small is really small, best for only the tiniest toy breeds or for small puppies. Medium will work for most dogs, but if your dog is a shredder, loves to destroy plush toys, only get the large sizes. If you have certain breeds, like Staffordshire terriers and bull dogs, then perhaps another toy would be a wiser choice. You know your dog.

So if you're tired of buying so-called "dog toys" that are really glorified baby toys and easily destroyed, try these. Ours have lasted for two years with hard play, only replacing the squeakers. Even better, they're usually included in the Amazon 4-for-3 promotion, so you can get one free if you buy four (smaller sizes)! That way you can test out different designs, or save one for later. Highly recommended!

To be fair our dog rips through most toys, I had just hoped this one would be an exception. Oddly, although the body is ripped open at the end, the head is still in tact.

Despite being torn open, there wasn't much of a mess, and she still plays with it. She even brought it outside to the back yard, typically for things she really likes and doesn't want to share. :-) It went through the rain and then the washer and dryer and is still fine.

My dogs loved the snakes! They are very durable and hold up extremely well. I really like how the squeekers are replaceable. Very happy with my purchase.

This toy lasted longer than most cloth toys. It took my dog 2 days before he started shredding it. He went for the eyes first, and once he was able to separate them, next came the interior lining. All together it took about 2 weeks before it became so pieced that it had to be thrown away. On the plus side, because it had no stuffing he was able to keep it longer.

I probably wouldn't buy one again because my dog is just too aggressive with toys. So we'll be going back to the hard plastic Kong. If you have a dog that doesn't seek to destroy toys this would be a good purchase.

My two goldens love snakes more than any other stuffed toys. They play tug-of-war and chase and spend time simply chewing. The dogs can be quite hard on toys. These particular snakes are the best we've ever had. They last longer than other brands -- many of which made superior claims, cost more, and failed to live up to expectations. If you want a stuffed snake that will stand up to real dog play, the Kong snake is the BEST! I highly recommend purchasing it from Amazon vendor Hautedauge.com. They are a wonderful seller -- their customer service is terrific.

My 1-year old Lab played with this toy about 10 minutes and had ripped the eyes out. I sewed the hole shut. Within another 5 minutes she had the seams ripped apart and holes in the head of the toy. Not recommended for a chewer.

We had this snake for a long time before he was completely toast. Our dogs, like so many, LOVE to tear into the plush toys and fling the stuffing all about... this guy was no exception, but it took them a REALLY long time to get to that point. Also, with the dual squeekers and back-ups we were set for at least a year (maybe longer, but our newest addition, a pit bull, tore it up sooner than it would have been with our lab-dog.) I would buy this again and the prices on Amazon beat the pet store any day!!!

Our Collie puppy loves this toy. We play tug of war with it, fetch, and find it. It's sturdy, and so far, he hasn't torn it up or ripped it. The squeaker is still intact even though it came with five or six replacement squeakers. We grab one end of the toy, the puppy grabs the other end and we pull him, running, the length of the yard. Then he pulls us the length of the yard. We also play "keep away" with it. And it's a BIG deal when he gets it and runs off with it. I bought both the frog and the snake. One of the snake's eyes came off immediately, but no big deal. It took about 3 days for our mini-dachshund to chew a hole in the snake and another few days for her to chew it completely into 2 pieces. The good thing is that it doesn't have any stuffing so now they have 2 toys instead of just one! We had to hide the frog because our dachshund and puggle were fighting over it!
