Our five month old Labrador puppy is a great swimmer, but she will only go in to fetch her Wet Wubba; tennis balls just don't do it for her. I'm not sure if it's the fact that it's bigger or if it's the tails, but she goes nuts for it.

Caveat: This is NOT a chew toy. It says this quite clearly on the package, but for some reason people insist on giving it to their dogs to chew and then being shocked when the fabric comes off. It is for water fetch ONLY. We've used it in the park as well, but the material gets filthy very very quickly and doesn't clean off until you use it in the water a few times. And while the regular wubba is good for playing tug, the wet one has proved too easy to tear. So stay within the parameters, and you'll have a great toy.

I'd also recommend buying one at a real pet store, as you can't choose the color on amazon (silly).

We have used this thing for just over two years now for our chocolate lab. He loves this thing and it has held up through constant trips to the beach and DockDogs competitions and practices. After two years it's finally bit the dust, so I came here to buy a new one and write a review. I see a lot of the reviewers stating that it falls apart too easily. You're doing it wrong. It's a fetch toy, nothing more.

Brought it to the beach with my 10mth old Lab. He loves it but but after playing catch a few times the outer layer material is torn. Bearing the name Kong I would have thought it more durable. Perhaps a tougher exterior would be great.

I have never bought a Kong toy my dog did not love. This is no exception. Note however, that the Water Kong Wubba is not as durable as the regular Kong Wubba so keep the water version for water and buy a regular Kong Wubba for the house and yard. Our dogs rate Kong Wubba as their favorite toy in the toy basket.

My dog loves these toys and finds it easy to grab on to either the ball or the strips to bring the toy back to shore. The toy is very floaty, doesn't get water logged and sink like I've dealt with with other toys. The neoprene type material seems to be comfortable to bite into compared to other water toyrs I've bought, or at least thats how I interprete my lab's preference for the Wet Wubba that way.

Only drawback I've found is they float away to the Wubba graveyard very quickly when my dog gets distracted and doesn't go after it in time... but thats her fault, not Amazon or the maufacturers...

Why would Kong put their name on this product. Terrible, terrible quality. I gave her a sock with a knot tied in it and it lasted a week. Do you return a completely ruined toy? She wasn't even playing with it hard. Steer clear of this product unless your dog is toothless.

...this is a fun toy for my dog. It floats in the pool, even after the smaller ball was chewed off. The only thing I try to keep it out of is a game of tug of war as the material around the ball will tear with tugging teeth.
