Wherever You Need It

The P300 is a true "pocket projector"--at less than 5.9" long, 3.9" wide, and 1.6" tall, it is both compact and energy efficient, consuming less than 25 watts when plugged in. Additional features include adjustable tripod, 1280x800 VGA input support, 1920x1080 HDMI support, Micro SD Card slot, USB port, composite video input, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Superior Color And Image Quality

AAXA Technology's Vibrant Color Technology and Triple LED light source provide a clear, vivid display with amazing color saturation. Coupled with the P300's tiny size, you can now carry a 120" 1080p HD cinematic experience in the palm of your hands.

High Definition WXGA Resolution

The P300 features highest-in-class resolution at WXGA (1280x800), otherwise known as "High Definition" and is the base resolution for Blu-ray discs. Unlike competitors that claim high resolution through digital scaling, the P300's native resolution is 1280x800 pixels and is capable of scaling resolutions up to 1080P.

Quick On and Off

Long warm-up and cool down times, sometimes for several minutes, are required for projectors using traditional lamps. The LED light source of the P300 enables it to achieve full brightness within seconds. It also turns off instantly.

Long Lasting Battery

The P300's lithium ion battery offers over 60+ minutes of operation on a single charge. Rechargeable and long lasting, the optional internal lithium ion battery makes the P300 a truly portable pico projector.

Coupled with multiple inputs, connectivity is as simple as plugging in your Android device, iPhone, or tablet. The P300's powerful 300-lumen LED projection lets you share your media as it was meant to be viewed.

Environmentally Friendly

The P300's LED Technology consumes less power than conventional lamp based projectors. The LED is also 100% free of mercury and, as the bulb never needs to be replaced, there are no discarded bulbs. With the LED's 15,000 hours of operating life, (or about 5 hours a day for over 8 years), the P300 is virtually maintenance free.

About AAXA Technologies

AAXA Technologies Inc was founded in 2008 as a developer and manufacturer of a new class of projector known as "micro" projectors and "pico" projectors. AAXA's core technology is based on small LCoS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) and DLP (Digital Light Processing) imagers mated to LED (light emitting diode) and Laser light-sources that makes micro projectors and pico sized projectors possible. In 2010 AAXA launched the world's first laser pico projector and today remains a leader in mini-projector technology. AAXA holds several patents in optical and LCoS designs and manufactures the majority of its products in China, with core technological development occurring in both the Silicon Valley, California and China.

Purchased directly from the manufacturer before it was available on Amazon and was very impressed. The 300 lumens was much brighter than the other picos I used in the past and the high resolution makes all my videos look MUCH better. It is slightly larger than my first pico projector but the performance totally makes up for it.

What I liked most about this pico projector was the optional battery pack. There aren't any other pico projectors with this brightness on battery power. The battery doesnt take any additional space as it fits right into the projector.

Installation takes 2-3 minutes which wasnt too bad. Three screws, place battery in and close. Very much worth the time since I like to watch shows on my backyard wall. I even set up a giant piece of white vinyl as a projection screen.

I wanted a compact projector for occasional use that would not break the bank, has good resolution, reasonable brightness (up to a 10' projection distance) and could be easily carried in my laptop bag. The Aaxa P300 fit my needs perfectly. It is relatively quiet. I found the LED projection system to be a big plus - no need to wory about vibration or accidental bumping damaging the projection bulb or the need to carry a spare. I also liked the flexible small tripod for holding the projector. It made finding an optimum projection angle a breeze. Focusing is a little tricky as the focusing knob is a bit course. As the unit warms up, you may need to adjust the focus. Setting the resolution to match my XP laptop was inconsistent. The WXGA 1280x800 is the best display setting but I had difficulty switching my PC to it when the P300 was connected through the display connector. I found it easier to set the PC resolution before connecting the P300. The onscreen display is easy to navigate and it is reasonably intuitive as to what most of the icons refer to. The user manual is a bit terse. They invite you to call the company for user support and to provide feedback, but I have not found a need to do so. The transformer (110-240VAC) cord is 6' long. Best to bring your own extension cord if you will be farther from a power outlet. The P300 does not have a lens cover nor does it come with a traveling case. I use 2 ziploc plastic bags, a 1qt bag to protect the projector and a 1 gal bag to hold the projector, transformer, tripod and display cord.

Purchased this projector because of the battery option, which we also purchased. We also have a Dell M110. Like all "Pico" class projectors, it isn't that bright. 300 lumens is "Best in Class", shared with the Dell. It has decent quality video and enough brightness for small offices. Video is clear and readable in near normal daylight with a decent screen or white smooth background. However, focusing the video is very difficult. Touching the focus knob shifts the focus, and the slightest shift will blur everything. The tripod included in the box is the cheapest plastic crap, so do not consider it as an extra benefit if you are thinking of buying this projector. You will end up throwing it away, and I think you really need a mini-tripod to adjust and aim this thing. Finally, the big issue is incorrect hardware detection when plugged in via VGA. I tested this on an HP EliteBook 8560w running W7x64 pro, A Dell Lattitude E6220 running W7x64 pro, and a Lenovo Y450 running XP. In all cases, the projector would plug in and identify as different hardware every other time it was used, causing Windows to mis-identify it's native resolution and give bad, distorted video. HDMI performance was flawless. It correctly identified, and just worked with the windows projector interface in all cases. If you need the battery, have an HDMI source to drive it, and are willing to buy a good mini-tripod, this is a good pico projector suited to travelling and small presentations. If you need VGA, buy the Dell M110, and live without the battery.

Pros: Brightest in it's class (w. Dell M110), battery operation is good, quick and easy setup and good function via HDMI.

Cons: EXTREMELY finicky focus knob, Crappy bundled tripod, Catastrophic plug and play failure with VGA

This was the first projector I ever purchased, so I was concerned about the return policy. When Amazon started selling it directly, I took the chance.

The projector has been a great find. It's bright enough for the rooms I use it in, which are partly to fully lit office conference rooms with whiteboards. I haven't tried to use it on a really big screen or wall, and probably never will.

You CANNOT run powerpoint slideshows directly from this device's built-in media manager software. You need to export your deck to Pictures (on Powerpoint's File menu), then copy them to the media (I use a microSD card, you can also use a USB stick).

So far, the firmware doesn't let you choose the slide transition animations, so you are stuck with having the projector's software embed its own randomly chosen transitions... imagine all the cheesy floating in, flipping, sliding, pixelating, etc. that Powerpoint offers, and you have the idea. This can't be turned off, so even if you don't want animated effects between your slides or pictures, too bad, you are getting them anyway. Hopefully this is changed in firmware updates very soon.

But overall, the transitions are a tiny irritation for a projector that will never need a bulb replaced, fits in a pocket in my bag, and doesn't need a laptop *or even electricity* to show a meeting-length presentation.

No regrets here, I am very happy with the purchase.
