5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Tool For Raised Bed Gardens, May 27, 2010

This review is from: KR Tools 93351 Pro Series 3-Tine Cultivator (Tools & Home Improvement)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
The KR Tools Pro Series 3-Tine Cultivator is a very solidly built and well constructed hand tool. My wife really loves the longer handle, because although she is taller, it helps her to reach the far corners of her raised vegetable and flower beds. Living in AZ with the harsh climate and hard/corrosive soil, the hard wood handle and rust-resistant tines are greatly appreciated as we have to routinely replace rusted/ruined yard tools and accessories. You also can't beat the price! Hard to find something bad to say - a welcome addition to my wife's gardening assortment!

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent addition to my tool collection!, April 26, 2010
This review is from: KR Tools 93351 Pro Series 3-Tine Cultivator (Tools & Home Improvement)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I am a tool afficionado--but only for those tools, electric and manual, that really work. This "KR Tools 93351 Pro Series 3-Time Cultivator" is one working buddy. Took her out this weekend to bite around the compacted soil in and around my azalea bed (yes, yes, I'm late doing so), but this little tool became a friend.

The metal head is solid, both in heft and construction. I don't think it will ever disengage. The handle is oh-so-smooth. That's the first thing I checked for when she came out of the box--how smooth is that handle? Answer: Perfectly! I didn't know about length until I took her out. She cozied up in my hand grasp and reach. Perfect!

After tight work in the azalea bed, I went down below the deck to my veggie and herb garden. Tilled up the soil, but used the cultivator to grab the soil next to the boundary. Again, perfect!

I have found another great tool for my perfect little collection. This Cultivator is a winner!

5.0 out of 5 stars Beefy! Built to last!, April 23, 2010
This review is from: KR Tools 93351 Pro Series 3-Tine Cultivator (Tools & Home Improvement)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I would have never guessed how big this bad boy was until we got it. It's about 15 inches tip to tip. Pick it up and you can feel the weight of its solid wood handle, slightly curved for a good grip. The tines feel like they are made of iron. The whole tool feels well balanced in my hand. The claw is about the size of an average adult hand, and those tines could rip up concrete if they had to! They are solid, heavy and tough. They are not going to bend easily.

The sheath of metal between the tines and the handle turns freely. At first I was afraid that it would be able to unscrew, but no, it simply turns freely. It doesn't slip up or down, and it does not detract from the strength of this tool.

I can see why they call it the "Pro" Series- it would appear to be professional grade. This one will last you a long time!

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy Dandy!, June 29, 2010
This review is from: KR Tools 93351 Pro Series 3-Tine Cultivator (Tools & Home Improvement)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
When I first saw this gardening tool I thought it was odd that the tines are blunted and smooth instead of pointy and sharp like my short handled versions. But now I see where the smoothness allows it to be drawn easily through the dirt or sand as you remove weeds. Best of all I found that it, with its nice long handle, works extremely well at "raking" the dead leaves that fall between my AC condenser unit and my house. I can reach right in there and pull all the leaves out to the sides where I can gather them up and take them away.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great gift for a gardener!, May 27, 2010

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
This 3-tine cultivator is brilliant! It's got a good weight to it, and the handle is about 12" in length - way better than a hand version. The tines are strong and not like some of the weaker ones you see on the market. This is great for digging up your flower beds and the more difficult weeds. This has easily become my favorite tool due to its craftmanship and hardiness. I love it and recommend it for all gardeners!

4.0 out of 5 stars A well-built, quality tool -- I expect this to last a long time!, April 25, 2010
This review is from: KR Tools 93351 Pro Series 3-Tine Cultivator (Tools & Home Improvement)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
We once bought some shovels and rakes on sale at that big and ubiquitous retail store that shall here remain unnamed. We regretted that purchase. The heads came off of the handles, the rakes bent when we put them to work. When it comes to equipment that needs to take impact, it's much better just to buy something that'll last.

I really dig and can do some serious dirt digging with this handy little cultivator. We just put in a garden box, growing tomatoes and cukes and peppers and such, and this tool has been an enormous help. It's great for breaking up the dirt, and makes weeding easy. The small handy size helps when working in a small space and working around plants I don't want to damage. I also use it in my small makeshift compost pile to mix things up. It's a well-built, quality tool. If you need one, this is a nice one to have.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy Cultivator, November 6, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: KR Tools 93351 Pro Series 3-Tine Cultivator (Tools & Home Improvement)
This is a rugged hand tool! It is large, well made, and I prefer the even positioning of the tines. It pulls rocks and roots easily. Great for readying virgin ground for planting or existing garden beds for re-planting. My only reservation would be that it is relatively heavy in the hand. I use a smaller but similar tool for everyday weeding. That said, it is fantastic for the more strenuous garden digging jobs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good little tool, June 24, 2010
This review is from: KR Tools 93351 Pro Series 3-Tine Cultivator (Tools & Home Improvement)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
First, I don't do gardening. My husband does. He's the one telling me what he thinks about it. It's rugged, lightweight, and a good tool. It helps with what he needs help with when it comes to gardening. I don't know how much a tool like this normally costs so I can't compare it in that area. Personally I'd like one with a longer handle because I have very bad knees. However I won't cost this item any points for my health issues. :-)

This seems very well made, it is heavy and durable. Comfortable to hold with a longer reach then most cultivators, very nice to use in the garden.
