I bought the Sears SS tool cabinet which is really a sweet deal. Drawers are designed with roller bearings, cabinet is heavy duty and well built with solid & wide casters. All good sales points.
The down side, for me, is that it has 2 swivel and 2 fixed direction casters. The 2 swivel casters had stops/breaks.
So, I went to Sears and was told I had to order them. The order price is unrealistically high.
I checked all over for replacements, but found nothing that is equivalent in size, mounting methods, or the same weight capacity.

It took a lot of research but I finally drilled down to the fact the caster manufacturer had sold the remaining stock to Amazon.
The Amazon price was far better so I ordered a set of 4 casters assuming that I would get the combination that came on the cabinet. All I really wanted was just 2 to replace the two fixed direction casters so the cabinet could be easily moved in any direction. The Amazon picture showed 2 fixed and 2 swivel casters with breaks just like what came on the original Sears cabinet.

The casters arrived and I saw that all 4 casters were swivels without breaks/stops. Not what I expected but they are doing the job and fit the pre-drilled holes. Additionally, they are rated at 1000 lbs unlike most of the other casters I found.
It is a really good thing to have all 4 casters swivel. But, having all 4 with stops/breaks would have been good on a sloped surface, like most garage floors are poured.

I took a chance and finally bought something used, or so claimed. I thought what the heck could be so bad about a slightly used caster. I received the caster set in a decrepid box, oh oh I thought. when i opened the box i found brand new casters sealed in plastic bags, not even dust on them. The hardware set was included, also new and no bolts or washers missing. Probably the best deal ive gotten anywhere.
