Building is only half the fun. In robot mode, your OPTIMUS PRIME figure is ready to kick some DECEPTICON tailpipe. With 542 KRE-O construction pieces, this set contains everything you need to build a 10-inch-tall robot figure or 15-inch-long semi-hauler truck. Build and rebuild as needed to defeat the DECEPTICON enemy forces.

Product Description
Build the ultimate Autobot hero, Optimus Prime, in vehicle, robot or battle station mode with this 3-in-1 set of Kre-O construction pieces. It includes 5 Kreon figures: Optimus Prime, Skywarp, Bluestreak and 2 Stunt Drivers. This Kre-O construction set lets you build Optimus Prime as a robot figure, as a semi-hauler truck or as a battle station. In vehicle mode, put the included motorcycles and Kreon figures into the semi-hauler truck's trailer or rebuild the truck's removable cab into a mini-command center. Also in vehicle mode, the trailer can be disassembled and built into a battle station. The set includes 542 Kre-O pieces, 5 Kreon figures, 2 motorcycles, orange traffic cones and decorative decals. The product does not convert.

This is a great toy, well made and it allows children to use their imagination and construct it in a number of different ways. The one drawback is the number of pieces, 542! The product is recommended for children ages 8-14, I would definitely not purchase this for an 8 year old. My almost 10 year old was very frustrated and my 13 year old and I had to end up constructing the model. Definitely for older children. When constructed it is an amazing toy and fun for both my 9 and 13 year old sons, just expect to a long evening playing and construction KRE-O if you are purchasing this for anyone 10 and under (unless they have an Einstein IQ and an equally long attention span).

Optimus Robot and Base is about 2 hours
To assemble truck you must completely disassemble Optimus and the base and reassemble the truck (probably a 2+ hour job)
Pros:
Lots of pieces, neat finished model
Neat mini figures
Cons:
Pieces are not Lego and compatibility is marginal (read more below)
Stickers go in different spots between truck and robot Optimus.
Design of robot could be slightly better
Ankle joints are stiff enough to support robot Optimus if they are bent at all
Optimus blue is darker than I would expect, it is navy blue that is almost black.
Bottom Line:
This is a nice set of building blocks that could be a lot of fun to play with, but some design flaws in the robot and lack of true compatibility with Lego brand pieces make me rate this a 3.
To talk about the cons, the quality of the pieces is not to Lego standards. There is flashing and molding spots visible on the pieces. The metallic pieces are neat, but again, the metallic pattern is not uniform with dark swirls mixed in. Some pieces have light damage to them from the factory (dented corners), but nothing that hurts usability. Some pieces have white stress marks on them.
Compatibility with Lego pieces is marginal. The flat pieces will stick together okay one way. I think it was Lego on top of Kre-O and the flat pieces would pop themselves apart. The Lego mini figures don't stick to the Kre-O pieces either.
After building the robot Optimus, I flipped through the directions and noticed the stickers go on a couple different spots on the truck. You can't move the stickers after you stick them on, so depending on which you build first, you will have stickers in different spots if you build the other.
A couple pieces on robot Optimus want to pop off all the time. This includes his abdomen protectors and his leg shields. Not to mention if you bend his legs a little the ankle joints wont support his weight and he will fall over.
Finally the blue is a lot darker than I would expect for Optimus. Check my uploaded picture with the mini figures in front of the book case. I would expect a medium blue, but instead it is a deep navy, almost black.
All that being said, this is a neutral review, as he is pretty neat when he is assembled, and the mini figures (Kreon) are pretty neat. They have ball joints in their legs and arms so they can twist, and their torso also pivots. The downside is they don't stick down as well as the Lego mini figures, but that is pretty minor.

My 8 year old nephew was ecstatic when he tried out this Transformers Optimus Prime building block kit by Kre-O (Hasbro). He has seen all the newest Transformers movies and cartoons and has even watched most of the original cartoon TV series from the '80s.
Likes:
>Bold, colorful packaging that promises lots of fun!
>Can be built into Optimus Prime (OP) robot, Big Rig Truck, or Battle Station.
>Includes 2 mini motorcycles and 5 mini Kreon characters; OP, Skywarp, Bluestreak, and two stunt drivers.
>Helps child develop patience and perseverance to finish assembling this toy.
>Looks impressive when finished.
Dislikes:
>My 8 year old nephew is familiar with Lego and generic building blocks but it took him about 3 hours (with some help from dad) to assemble the 542 pieces OP robot because most of the blocks don't fit and stay locked together properly.

at last the parts
