My husband recieved these with a gift order from Omaha Steaks. We considered taking them to our local community kitchen, since we already have some good knives. I lightly checked the smallest paring knife for flex and the rivet closest to the blade popped loose. I knew by feel that the handles were hollow, but this could be dangerous if it happened during cutting. (In the spirit of full disclosure, the other blades didn't react the same way, but the handles do "open" with the lightest flexion.)How does Omaha Steaks hope to keep any reputation they have while including garbage like this in their packages? YOW!

I just got this set in a box of Omaha Steaks. Opening the box I see the knives are poorly finished with burrs on the backs and or sides. The "sharpened" edge feels rough and is unevenly ground. The "cutting board" included is a thin flexible plastic item that is also poorly stamped and badly finished. All in all I would not spend ANY money on this product... it might be worth $5 but I would not even pay that for it.

It was only after coming here to find out if these knives are even sold anywhere that I find out these are included free with Omaha steak. This was a gift my mother in law passed of f on me as some sort of invaluable treasure. These are awful. I'm afraid to cut unto something as Im fairly certain the handle will just fall off. So glad I actually spent time and money getting something nice for her. I'm going to have to outdo this one next Christmas. I wish sports illustrated still gave out free football phones.

I was actually offended that Omaha Steaks gave me these crappy knives. I now own 4 boxes of them - I told the guy I'd rather have 6 free burgers - but no - another set of these. I got my first box over a year ago and I went in to Omaha for the first time to get my deal (their meat by the way is top quality which is why I'm offended that they are giving these away) anyhow... the picture in the ad I brought in had a nice set and each knive had "Omaha Steaks" embossed on it - like the ones they sell. I emailed Omaha to tell them thanks but no thanks on the knives I want the ones in the picture. They couldn't provide me those knives but sent me a coupon. You cant even wash them - if you put them in a sudsy sink the handles fill with water so when you turn them point down all this water comes out. Oh and did I mention the cutting board?!!! Seriously? A credit card is thicker.

I second that. They are packed complimentary with Omaha Steaks. I would not pay more that $5 for these.

Received these knives today with Omaha Steak order. I am embarrassed for Omaha Steaks to even send these out. I feel duped by Omaha Steaks for even saying these were a gift with my first order. Going into the garbage can. These knives are not worth a buck, see better knives for a buck in the dollar store. Do not buy these, you will be very disappointed.

Kuchenstolz; MADE IN CHINA

I've never seen knives this poorly made. Omaha Steaks should be ashamed of themselves for even including this set. These knives are dull, filled with burrs and ground poorly. The blades are all punched from stainless sheetmetal. I have filet knives made of thicker steel. I was hoping for some cheap, but usable knives. The cuttingboard is also of the poorest quality and material.

I wouldn't use these on anything beyond butter; If you heat them up first of course.

Trying to decide if I should even try the meat after inspecting the knives, or if I should just send everything back. This will be the only order I ever place with them, at the very least.

These are not high quality knives, but they came free with a minimal order from Omaha Steaks, and it's not worth crying over them people. What did you expect, a $400 knife set with your $50 Omaha Steaks purchase? True, the blades aren't evenly ground out of the box, but if you use the included honing tool for 10 seconds your problem will be solved. These knives aren't for those who want to be high rollers, but you can take them camping, and they'll do their job and hold up.
