Folks this is the best cleanser for mold & mildew on painted surface. I purchased a bottle from WalMart back in early 2007 to clean my windowless bathroom. I was prepared to choke and cough and have watery eyes with such a cleaner but this never happened. It smells great and does not contain bleach or ammonia. I did not have to use it again until a year later but I could not find it anywhere. So glad to see it is still being manufactured.

This stuff is great and worth every penny. Just spray the area you want and wait five minutes. Then wipe off, I used a sponge with a scrub side for really caked on stuff but really didn't need it. Did each wall of the shower one at a time and it was sparkling when I was done, also did wonders on the sink. I have used other regualr supermarket products that needed either a ton of elbow grease or did not work at all. Krud Kutter makes it easy and according to the bottle every two months just spray back on and that will keep everything in good shape, can't beat that.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
Once again Krud Kutter comes through with a cleaning product that works better than expected, doesn't require any heavy labor on the part of the user, and makes a dirty, disgusting job easier. I have used their grease cleaners, household cleaners, carpet cleaners, and window cleaners and am a Big fan. The Krud Kutter for Carpets gets rid of stains that a professional carpet cleaner swore were impossible. The regular Krud Kutter cleaner got the EPA to back off and remove my bathroom from that list with Fukushima, Chernobyl and 3-Mile Island. So, when I saw they had another cleaner for mold and mildew, I rejoiced and tried it on a really nasty culprit that keeps fighting me for possession of the bathtub.

Normally I take straight chlorine bleach, soak paper towels in it, and place them along the discolored bathtub surround. It bleaches the caulking to a sparking white and removes all the lining in my lungs and the skin on my fingers. I hate doing it, but I hate bathing with black gunk looking up at me too. And a week later I do it again, because one thing you gotta say about mold and mildew around here, they are persistent. I've been married to people who didn't hang around as long.

Anyway, I gave Krud Kutter Mold and Mildew Stain a try. It works as well as the Chlorine Last Ditch Kill or Be Killed Method, but it's a lot easier to do. And the black gook has not come back as quickly...maybe it's not for gone good, but it's been a while and I'm hoping. To make sure, I just spray a bit on a sponge when I do my regular cleaning and go over the grouting around the tub. It just takes a minute, so even a lazy person like me is not overwhelmed.

Once I overpowered the tub, I looked around for new worlds to conquer...and there it was: The Stinky Patio Chair Cushion.

Of course it can't "kill" mold! It is an Earth Friendly product! You want something that will kill a plant yet stay earth friendly? It does do a good job at breaking down the mold and destroying the spores though.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
Using this cleaner is kind of like spraying air freshener all over; it has an obnoxious ("fresh"? try overpowering) "floral" scent that is more like drugstore perfume. I'm trying not to knock drugstore perfumes here, but wow, this was really something to use. I sprayed it a little bit on the sink at first, and it was so strong I had to open the window to air out the bathroom. It recommends spraying and wiping down, which worked on the tub, but I'd rather use other products without so much scent to get the tub clean.

The biggest issue with this cleaner is that no ingredient at all is listed anywhere on the bottle, but it greenwashes itself as "earth-friendly" and "biodegradable" on the bottle. It also says MSD sheet available, but when I went to their website, my browser shut it down and told me that it would likely install adware/spyware on my computer. Nice...I did catch the words "earth-friendly products" before that happened.***********Okay, just checked again and was able to open the MSD sheet--isopropanol appears to be the only ingredient listed on that sheet (because it will only list dangerous ingredients) and it was tested on animals, so sorry, those who look for environmentally-friendly products that are NOT animal-tested.

I don't know this company, but any company that does not make its ingredients easily available, especially while emphasizing how green they are, is not a green company in my book.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I have had trouble finding a non-toxic product that removes mold/mildew stains from the grout in my tiled bathtub/shower, and I decided to give this product a try, because it is advertised as being non-toxic.

I sprayed on this product, scrubbed the grout using a grout brush, then sprayed the grout again and let it set for half an hour. I came back, sprayed and scrubbed again. Sadly, I noticed minimal difference in the stain. I did it one more time. Again, very little results.

I also used this to clean my fiberglass bathtub, and it was equally ineffective removing some stubborn stains.

Finally, I used it to clean mold off my shower-curtain liner. Again, a bust.

As for the supposed non-toxic fumes, the chemical smell is fairly strong, but I am extremely sensitive to chemicals, and I did not get a headache, which is a good sign that the advertising is not false. I only got mild burning of my eyes. However, to be safe, I also ran my Amaircare Roomaid Air Purifier which has a volatile organic compound (VOC) filter.

All in all, I'm not impressed with this product.
