I live in SF bay area. It gets nearly 40 channels which includes NBC and ABC. But I'm thinking of buying a more powerful antenna for it to see if I can receive the channels more stable.
It supports full hd (1080i) picture and Dolby audio and pretty much all possible TV and radio systems.

Generally the hardware is fine, but the software that comes with it is terrible. It's driver has a bug. It works ok on 32 bit windows, but causes some problem on 64 bit windows. Although I found a way to fix the bug and I let them know but I don't know if they have fixed it on their website or not. So beware!
Also I couldn't get the remote control work.

This unit is terrible. Don't waste your money! The picture quality while watching or recorded is on par with old VHS tapes copied over several times. Audio is out of sync and garbled. There is a lot of digital drop out and no real image stabilization so the video jumps all of the time. Installing the software caused my 64 bit programs to not open as apparently it deleted 5 of the msvc files (mfc100.dll, mfc100u.dll, msvcr100.dll, msvcp100.dll and msvcr100_clr0400.dll) from the System 32 folder which was a bear to track down. I updated the software and new drivers today and it crashed my system AND deleted the restore points. I've been in IT for 9 years and have seen a lot of bad software and hardware and I'd say this would rate as the worst.

I am about 22 miles from the local transmission towers (luckily they are all at the same location) and I'm able to receive 95 channels with a $10 set of rabbit ears that I can put outside my window. The antenna that came in the box only got 60 and the signals were a bit low. Okay, 15 are in English but they are all the major networks! I have not tried connecting to digital cable because I disconnected that service for cost savings. Internet streaming and this tuner will get me by for my entertainment needs. The TotalMedia software works but I find WMC is easier to use. Be gentle the the device, the plastic case separated when my coax lead pulled to one side. I now use a USB jumper lead between the PC and the tuner so there is not a stress point any more. I have not installed the additional bundled software or plan to.

My PC specs:
Intel Pentium D 3.40GHz
4.0 GB RAM
Window 7 64-bit
GPU- NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS w/256MB

Some reviews say that the tuner runs on the hot side. Hell my entire systems cooks at 45C so where is the issue with that.

I do want to find an easier way to record only audio from an analog device with it.

BTW. Do Not loose you software key. you will need it on any install or re-install.

I hope this helps.

The software gets pretty clunky when you have a lot of channels to go thru; there's no way to enter the number as far as I can tell, so you have to scroll, slowly, through all the channels.

The recordings are the same way. You have to scroll through all of them to get where you want to go. It would be nice to be able to set recordings from an iPhone as well.

The CD does not work for the drivers or arcsoft total media, it crashed my computer 3 times, and it's very hard to use, buy something better but not by kworld.
second problem, if you use java, it will kill it(by installing driver software ).

I don't know why anyone would not love this product. I followed the directions taking great care to take my time and allow the software to do it's thing. I have an HP mini 210 that was a great disappointment. It is extremely slow and under powered. The microsoft performance factor is dismal. I bought another high performance laptop and kept the HP for an alternate search device. I thought I would try adding tv features. This Kworld product fit the cost bill but I was very dubious This product installed exactly to directions. I use DTV as my source for tv and get great results. I hooked the device up and know get great DTV and FM and other features I don't know how to use.yet .This device has saved me $60 and gives me more features. If you have problems it is probably because you don't know how to relax and let this device install properly. It works exactly as advertised. Make sure you have a good antenna not the one included.

Kworld TV/FM tuner and remote all work well on Windows 7 Pro, just follow directions included.
Works just like my previous one ... NO Problems.
Works on both my laptop and my desktop (Win 7 pros).
Tuning depends on location and antenna orientation (I am an EE-RF tech)
Price is consistent w/previous- should be lower w/time and tech advances.
Much lower than Hauppauge models w/ USB...
Would buy and recommend again.
